I booked through Hotels.com. Normally, as a VIP member, I get a room upgrade. My room was so small I wasn’t able to move my suitcase to the other side of the bed, as the end of the bed is too close to the wall. I had to carry it over. Breakfast was not part of my booking so I paid €14 the first morning. When I had to check out, I had an early flight and asked the woman at reception if I could just get an apple from the breakfast room as I needed something to eat. She said no, if I wanted the apple I had to pay the €14 breakfast charge. This is not good customer service. It was just an apple. The man who worked the desk in the afternoons and evenings was very helpful. He recommended restaurants and asked afterwards about whether it worked out. He cared about my experience. The woman on check out did not. All I asked for was an apple. The hotel is well located near Place Catalunya, where I normally stay in Barcelona. The hotel looked good once inside. However, my tiny room and the check out woman’s lack of support as I had to leave early left a sour taste in my mouth.

We stayed for 3 nights in July 2025 in a Triple Superior room for myself and my two teens. Pros: Great Location: The hotel is in a central area with shops and restaurants right around the corner, making it really convenient. Breakfast: There was a good selection with hot dishes, including eggs, and plenty of variety to choose from. Friendly Staff: The staff were always kind and helpful, which made our stay more comfortable. Cons: Room Size: The Triple Superior room was a bit cramped for three people- ideal for 2 adults and may be a child Overall, it was a good stay, and we'd recommend it for the location and helpful staff!

Perfect location in the heart of Gothic Quarter

A great place to stay in the heart of Gothic Quarter! Helpful and friendly staff, super clean rooms, a very nice buffet breakfast made for a very enjoyable trip! The only downside was the size of the room with a lack of space for luggage the bed was on the hard side and there were no hooks for wet towels.

Brilliant location, fantastic staff, very helpful. Lots of places to eat nearby and walkable to everywhere you need to see. Breakfast was nice, rooms were nice and cool and reception staff fantastic too. Definitely recommend a stay here.

A beautiful hotel on a quiet street near everything, very walkable and ideal location. Breakfast is well done and delicious. Our room was great, although the bed was a little firm for my taste. Staff is very helpful and friendly, everything was nice and clean. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely two night stay at the Hotel Denit in the gothic quarter of Barcelona. It was quiet and well-maintained, with someone always at the front desk willing to help. Bonus: it's super close to the pick-up and drop-off point if you are taking the bus to or from the airport!

Everything was great except one of the most important things. The room a/c units were not working properly, and the two rooms I had booked both were not cool enough. I got moved to another room, for my last two nights, that had working a/c, but my son was stuck in his and it was unpleasant. They said they were in the process of looking at all the rooms and making upgrades, but that was not something to do the end of June when it was in the 90’s and humid.
