Parsifal returns to Barcelona's Liceu, from where he once greeted the world.
We chose to name this apartment Parsifal, for its blend of character and modernity, modernity which permeates all four corners. This is your front row seat to Barcelona, whether you are a serious music lover or a die-hard urbanite.
We speak of a spacious quirky apartment. It boasts a large living and dinning area, which includes a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. This common area, is divided into three. A comfortable sofa, two relaxing armchairs and a huge plasma screen TV, create the living area, with designer tripod lamps and a convenient bookcase with books, for any relaxing moment.
The dining area, is a winning mixture of styles.
A vintage mahogany table is a luxury for six people, who may gracefully sit on six Curve dining chairs by Kartell, the latest avant-garde design trend, very successfully creating a contrast in styles. The kitchen's sleek peninsula, divides the space yet again. The cosy balcony, gives you the possibility of nice al fresco moments, enjoy a coffee in the morning or a late night glass of ice cold cava.
In the back of the apartment, you will find the sleeping area.
Three beautifully decorated bedrooms (two of them double, one individual) guard our dreams, which no doubt will be placid and relaxing, since you are far removed from the bustle of the street. You may choose between three different styles: * âą the "industrial style retreat" bedroom * âą the "countryside peace" bedroom * âą the "safari lodge" bedroom
... which one you will fancy the most?
It has two full bathrooms, one ensuite in the master bedroom, with a sleek modern design, boasting a large shower and a heated towel rail, to keep your towels warm. It has central air conditioning in all rooms, a safe to keep you valuables under control and video intercom. Although next to La Rambla, the double glazed aluminum anti-noise windows, guarantee perfect sound proofing.
Parsifal's location is unique.
Walking up La Rambla, you will find the Mercat de la Boqueria, which has the freshest produce and finest gourmet items, you can find in the city. The apartment is located in front of the Grand Teatre del Liceu, internationally recognized music temple. Walking down La Rambla, you'll run into Plaça Reial with its arcades, the fountains and the original lampposts designed by GaudĂ. All these are obligatory stops.
On the other side of La Rambla, we travel in time to historical Barcelona, guided through the narrow streets of the Gothic quarter and its neighbour, the cosmopolitan El Born, a haven for artists and trendy avant-garde fashion boutiques.
This is your home away from home whilst in Barcelona... In the same city block as the great Liceu Opera House building and 20 metres from La Rambla, the most lively boulevard in the city. An unbeatable location with excellent transport links within the city and for day trips out.
Parsifal returns to the Liceu, more powerful and with the best voice ever. The quest is over... are you listening? He sings for you
This property is In the middle of the old city so itâs very convenient for visiting many important sites. Barcelona has excellent restaurants, especially seafood restaurants.
We rented Parsifal for one full month, mid-Jan to mid-Feb. (I don't think anyone could pick a better month to stay in Barcelona, by the way.) The apartment itself, its location, comfort, and amenities all contributed to an absolutely top-notch experience. The apartment is all its description says it is, in every respect. The location within the city was, for us, its most appealing feature. A one-minute walk to the Ramblas and the Liceau subway station made access to the entire city as easy and as quick as could be. With Barri Gothic and El Born literally across the street, we had immediate access to more shopping and unique restaurants than we could fit into a single month. The tremendously helpful Visitors Center in Placa Catalunya (a 5-minute walk) helped us arrange four day trips via train or bus to interesting locations out of the city, including Montserrat. Because it was February (temps in the high 50s to 70 on some days) we were able to gain same-day walk-in access to every attraction the city has to offer; this is impossible in spring, summer, or fall, when plan-ahead reservations are essential. All-in-all, we would highly recommend this apartment and, based on our experience, Bizflats itself.
