We enjoy staying in the apartment

The apartment is very nice and we enjoyed staying there. The location was also good. The rooms need some furniture with shelves/drawers to accommodate cloths. Please also check the stove.

Exquisite Home in Great City

This property comfortably accommodated 10 American retirees with all the comforts of home in one of the world's most livable and delightful cities. It is just as it looks in the pictures. The pictures do not capture the convenience, charm and walkability of the neighborhood. If you want to experience life in Barcelona, this is the place! Ana, our host, was lovely and very responsive to our needs. Highly recommend.

Great location, spacious

Having rented VRBOs 3x in Barcelona, this was easily the best. The best location, the most spacious and perfect for our group of 3 couples. The host was incredibly accommodating, and we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. We were able to utilize the well-appointed kitchen, and check-in and out without issue.

Amazing home!!

One of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed in Europe! So much charm & room for so many. We had 7 of us & had more than enough room. Loved the location, within yards of the Arch, shopping & restaurants. Ana is one of the nicest hosts we’ve met as well. Wonderful spot

We loved the location, design and ease of the place. AC in only two bed rooms and the main living room but if we left those all the bedroom Doors open it worked. Our hostess was accommodating and informative! The place was spotless when we arrived and she even let us leave our luggage in the foyer before checking. 3 sets of keys for the 9 of us worked out great. It really was such a lovely place and a great location! Hope to come Again.

Great base in Barcelona

Eight of us (3 couples and 2 singles) stayed comfortably in this 5 bedroom very spacious apartment. Two full and 2 half baths were sufficient for everyone, and the space is very comfortable and roomy. It's in a beautiful neighborhood, a short walk to a couple of Metro stations, Plaza Catalunya/La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter. Our hostess was very accessible and obliging, allowing us to store our luggage until check in time and check out time. We recommend this beautiful apartment to any group of up to 10.

Wonderful Spot

I cannot say enough good things about this stay. Ana was a helpful and accommodating host, from allowing my friend to pick up the keys since she arrived first, to offering up lots of local recommendations. The apartment is spacious and gets a lot of natural light. While we were awoken by the sounds of construction, that is far from our host's fault and was only a temporary issue. Otherwise, the location is central to a lot of walkable attractions, including Las Ramblas, the metro, Arc de Triomphe, etc. It is true that there are some stairs, but we were all able-bodied and eager to walk the city, so it wasn't an issue for our group. Ana also gave us ample warning and details about checking out. Would definitely stay here again! Wonderful and beautiful spot that sets up a lot of access to a beautiful city!

Perfect location, amazing apartment!

You really can't go wrong with this place! We had 2 families traveling together and the layout of the apartment, which is basically two apartments (each with kitchens, showers, bedrooms and sitting areas) combined by a common entrance area, allowed us to have time together but also retreat to our own areas at night. The location is perfect, right near the Arc the Triumph and on the edge of the Gothic Quarter with tons of amazing restaurants. Step outside you are in one of the most amazing cities on earth! The apartment itself was very clean and well stocked. There isn't an elevator, so getting bags and luggage up 3 flights of stairs was tough but only at the beginning at load in and the end when we left. Otherwise is very easy in and out during our stay. Ana was very nice and easy to communicate with. We really can't say anything other than we would highly recommend staying here and we look forward to our return to Barcelona.

Cute neighborhood and great apartment

We had 2 families in the apartment and there was plenty of room for all of us! The neighborhood is great and very close to the Arc de Triompf. We did a lot of walking around the city, the Casa Mila and Picasso museum are only a 15-20 minute walk from the apartment. There are a number of great restaurants and shops close by. Ana was a great host and very responsive in communications with us. We had a great stay!

SPACIOUS FLAT IN A GOOD LOCATION BUT LEAVES MUCH TO BE DESIRED.

THE APARTMENT IS CHARMING AND SPACIOUS, IN A GOOD LOCATION WITHIN AN EASY WALK TO MANY SITES. FOR THE PRICE LEVEL IT WAS OK. HOWEVER, MY BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH THIS APARTMENT WAS THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE TO LUG YOUR SUIT CASES UP TWO FLIGHTS OF STAIRS BEFORE THERE IS A LIFT. ALSO, ONLY 3 OF THE 10 ROOMS OF THIS APARTMENT HAVE A/C. SO THREE BEDROOMS ARE AIR CONDITIONED AND THE REST OF THE APARTMENT IS NOT. MY KIDS STAYED IN ONE OF THE NON-AIRCONDITIONED ROOMS THAT HAS A CEILING FAN. THE FAN MADE AN AWFUL NOISE THAT WOKE THEM UP AND SCARED THEM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT BECAUSE IT STARTED ROCKING SO BADLY. THERE IS NO MICROWAVE. ONE OF THE TVS DID NOT WORK. THE WALLS NEED A FRESH COAT OF PAINT. THE BEDS ARE NOT VERY COMFORTABLE BECAUSE THE MATTRESSES ARE HARD. MOST BEDROOMS HAD NO PLACE TO PUT AWAY YOUR CLOTHES EXCEPT FOR METAL ROD TO HANG SOME THINGS ON, SO PLAN ON LIVING OUT OF YOUR SUITCASE. THERE ARE ONLY TWO SHOWERS AND ONE OF THEM HAS A BROKEN DOOR, SO THE WHOLE BATHROOM GETS SOAKED WITH WATER. AFTER CHECKING INTO THIS APARTMENT, I WISH I HAD SPENT THE EXTRA MONEY AND RETURNED TO THE FIRST APARTMENT WE STAYED IN BEFORE OUR CRUISE BECAUSE EVERYTHING WAS FIVE STARS THERE. ALL IN ALL, I WOULD PROBABLY TRY TO FIND A DIFFERENT PLACE TO STAY IF I HAD A CHOICE, BUT IF I DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE I WOULD RETURN, ESPECIALLY IF SOME OF THESE THINGS ARE FIXED.

Better than we could have ever imagined!

We LOVED Ana's apartment in Barcelona! It was enormous--plenty of space for six adults. Two couples each had two bedrooms to spread out in! The apartment was immaculate. We were greeted by Ana when we arrived, so had all of our questions answered immediately. The area in the back of the lodging was like a separate apartment. It provided a large bedroom, small bedroom, full bath, sitting area, and large kitchen with table. This area can be totally closed off from the rest of the apartment--perfect for two families or families with children. Ana's apartment is truly charming--so full of character. It is wonderfully located--within walking distance of almost all major Barcelona attractions. One of the highlights of our trip that we had not really planned on was the festival of Merce, held every fall. It included a nighttime parade as well as a daytime celebration, complete with 12-foot tall puppets paraded through the streets. Quite fascinating, and reflective of the pride Barcelonians hold dear to their hearts. It is a must-see if one is visiting Barcelona that time of year.

We have just got back from a fab break here. We are a group of 7 females. There was plenty of room in the huge apartment for all of us ( which unbelievably is even better than the pics ! ) It's in a great location, not too busy but close to everything. Ana ( the owner ) was very helpful and responded to questions / requests very quickly. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely apartment.

Spacious, well-appointed apartment in convenient location

Our multi-generational family of 7 enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of this Barcelona apartment. The main kitchen (there are two) had the equipment we needed to prepare meals. Having three bathrooms was definitely a plus, and the laundry room made it possible to keep up with everyone's need for clean clothes. There was privacy and also family space. Though the apartment is on a busy street, the sleeping rooms are quiet. We enjoyed being in a neighborhood where people were living their everyday lives. The location was excellent with easy access to public transportation. We could also walk to the old quarter. Would definitely go back to this apartment, and we could even invite a few more people.

Pictures Tell All

What you see is what you get plus more with this beautiful apartment. It was actually larger than anticipated and had plenty of room for an extended family. All of the amenities were provided, it was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was quiet, yet just a short distance away from the hub of activity and restaurants. It took no more than 10 -15 minutes walking to be in the middle of town. Ana, the owner, was communicative and very helpful before and during our stay. Overall a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this rental for anyone looking to spend some time in Barcelona. We stayed several nights between Christmas and New Years 2016 - I wish it was more nights!

Full of Character

There were 9 people in my party and we stayed here for two nights. We had plenty of room in this large apartment with 5 bedrooms, 2 full baths plus 2 half baths, as well as 2 living rooms and 2 kitchens. Three of the bedrooms are for couples, with beds big enough for two people. Two of the bedrooms have two twin beds, perfect for kids or singles. The apartment is located very close to a metro station, so getting around the city was easy. The location is less than a block away from the beautiful Arc de Triumph, and an easy 5-7 minute stroll to the largest park in Barcelona. There were a lot of bakeries, restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. We arrived from a cruise early in the morning and were able to store our large amount of luggage on site while they were cleaning. The entire check in process was easy, and the owner was in contact with me both before and after our arrival, making sure that all was well. The building does not have an elevator from the ground floor, only in between floors 1 and 2, so there are a fair bit of stairs to climb. There is air conditioning units in three bedrooms ONLY, there is not any air conditioning in the living rooms (only downside). The two bedrooms without air conditioning have ceiling fans. The coffee and snacks they leave are free to use. I was told there would be water and beer left for us to have for free: there was one bottle of water and no beer left for us. I'm not sure if this was a language barrier thing/misunderstanding or what. The character of the building and apartment were lovely and the beds were comfortable. The balcony off the front living/dining area is small, but nice, with room to stand and two small chairs. There was a very functional washer and separate dryer (detergent included) that worked great. The kitchen in the front of the apartment had plenty of wine and water glasses, as well as coffee cups. There was both a kettle for tea and instant coffee, as well as a coffee machine with pods. I would recommend this property for a large group, but no more than 10 people. A taxi to the airport was 29 euros.
