Bathroom/hidden fees

Bathrooms did not drain water so stayed with a poodle of water all the time. The price listed in Vrbo was not what we payed; these are the two reasons Sweet Inn cited: city taxes and different software from Vrbo. We stayed in two other places in Barcelona and we were never charged city taxes. I think this is worth looking into. Also, bathrooms drawers were broken so we didn’t use them. A clear marking or instructions to find it might be helpful. A big plus is where the apartment is located, easy access to the attractions in the city. Thank you!

Sleepless in Barcelona

This property is dated and in need of updating. The windows of the bedroom are poorly sealed with the result we could barely sleep at night. Even though we were on the third floor, we could hear the bin men pick up the community trash (anywhere from 10 PM to 1 AM). You could also hear people calling out to each other. The beds were very comfortable but no mattress covers are in use although the pillows were covered. I asked to have the shower cleaned of mold which was done the next day. After your shower you'll notice a pool of water that just doesn't drain away. The staff at Sweet Inn were very responsive and apologetic. The neighbourhood is very handy for taking a bus to the beach or the underground into all the sights of Barcelona. It's wearing to be under-slept every morning though. I would definitely not return to his particular apartment.
