If I am not around to check you in, then my friends at Guestfy will take care, they belong to one of the bests Airbnb management service teams in Barcelona who are Airbnb hosts themselves. I trust them to give you a warm welcome! They will look after you during your stay. If you have any questions, please get in touch through the Airbnb chat.
This apartment is in the right area of l'Eixample and is prior Passeig de Sant Joan, another of Barcelona's beautiful boulevards, but is also alongside Gràcia, kind of Barcelona`s Montmartre with its artistic and cultural vitality.
Gràcia was an independent town until the late 19th century and even now the community is small and tight. The people are exceedingly proud of their roots (they say they are from Gràcies and not from Barcelona). The area is popular with artists and a generally bohemian crowd, it also has a high ethnic population and the highest concentration of foreign restaurants in Barcelona. However, despite the trendy nature of Gràcia, it is also a very traditional district with a large elderly population which makes for an amusing and odd mix - and very entertaining people-watching!
Gràcia is also well-known for it's festival which is held for 5 days in August and sees the locals competing in street decoration (they take it very seriously!). The results are usually spectacular!
Pedestrian streets and squares to promenade, lots of tapas bars and restaurants, theaters, the famous Cine Verdi(one of the few original version cinemas in Barcelona), el Teatre Lliure, and original clothes stores, bookstores, schools of art, creative writing, graphic design, dance, yoga, music, and organic food stores.. and the traditional market with fresh fruits and vegetables, spicy olives, Mediterranean fish... just two streets on your right.
Some recommendations about restaurants are El Disbarat, La llar de foc for catalan cuisine and Intrèpid de Gràcia, Sol Soler or Restaurant La Pepita if you wanna try tasty tapas. I'm sure you will have a lovely time during your stay!
You will have access to the whole apartment.
The living area is light and airy with a beautiful, modern design and lovely finishing touches. Relax on the sofa, make yourself at home! It’s a welcoming and inviting space where you can kickback.
The master bedroom has a super comfortable double bed and, with fresh linens, what more do you need for a good night’s sleep? You don’t have to live out of your suitcase; plenty of storage room means you can get unpacking and start feeling at home right away.
The second bedroom also has a double bed and the sofa bed is up to 2. But be advised it is most comfortable for 1.
The apartment is in the Eixample district of Barcelona, with its octagonal blocks of houses and wonderful modernist buildings, but it is also next to the colorful neighborhood of Gràcia. Most of Barcelona’s sightseeing places can be reached walking from there. The apartment is located 3 mins away from Joanic station (L4), near to Sagrada Familia, Passeig de Gracia and Diagonal, and 15 minutes by subway from the beaches.
FROM THE CRUISE PORT TO THE APARTMENT
The quickest way would be by taxi. I would take about 15 minutes and should cost around €15.00 (which includes the supplement from the port) plus a little surcharge for each suitcase.
FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE APARTMENT
The journey is between 20 to 35 minutes, depending on the time of day.
You have quite a variety of transport options:
TAXI: Travelling by taxi is a convenient way to get from the airport to the city center, especially if you have a family or a lot of luggage (be aware that most fo the taxis holds only 4 passengers).
Look for the sign pointing to the nearest taxi rank. The taxis operate all night and there are several hundred of them so you don't have to worry about not being able to catch a cab.
Expect to pay around € 35.00. There will also be an additional surcharge charge for each bag you're carrying. You'll find the rates displayed inside the cab.
All official Barcelona taxis are black and yellow and are required to charge you only the value on the meter (including a supplement for travelling from or to the Airport, and also a surcharge for each suitcase).
Train RENFE: The RENFE train service runs approximately every 30 minutes to and from Barcelona airport to the city center. Travel time approximately 30 minutes. You can purchase a T10 ticket at the entrance to the train platform at Barcelona Airport (it would permit you 10 underground, train or bus trips into the city).
If travelling from the airport to the city center you can get off at Barcelona Sants. From there you can change for the Barcelona underground system to your final destination, Verdaguer metro stop (L5 or blue line). Then you must walk 15 minutes to reach the apartment.
AEROBUS: Aerobus is the bus service that connects the Airport with the centre of Barcelona leaving every 5 minutes, every day of the year.
In approximately 35 minutes can go or return to either of the Airport Terminals (T1 or T2) comfortably and economically, without having to change stations or stops. The route covers strategic stops in the city. Single ticket: € 5, 90(all children under 4 years free ticket).
The Aerobus will then take you to Plaça de Catalunya (where the line finishes).). From there you have to reach Plaça Urquinaona by metro (L1 or red line) and commute there by L4 or yellow line to Joanic stop. After 5 minute on foot you will reach the apartment.
BIKES: Barcelona is a bike friendly city, with a good net of bike lanes. Because of our warm climate, cycling could be a good way to sightseeing and do some sport at the same time.
As to rent a bike, there are lots on offer everywhere in Barcelona. I recommend two providers which you can find on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN): you’ll find information typing "carrer del perill, 19" (very close to the apartment, good service and good price) or ”bike rental Barcelona” (delivery & pick up service, so you don’t need to waste time looking for a bike rental shop in Barcelona).
In any case, the bikes cannot be left in the lobby of the property, let alone inside the apartment.
CAR: Since Barcelona is organised in green areas (for residents) and blue areas (paying and short time parking), it is difficult to park in the street. But there are lots of parking lots in this neighborhood.

Some minor works are being carried out near the apartment, it is possible that there may be noise between 9 and 18.00.
- Check in time is 3pm (can be flexible depending on the previous check-out).
- Late check in (after 9pm), is an extra 30 euros to be paid in cash upon arrival
- Check out time is 11am or earlier (can be flexible depending on the following check in).
- We have good relationships with our neighbours and would like to keep it that way, so please keep noise to a minimum, especially after 10 pm.
- Parties are not allowed.
- It is not allowed to smoke inside the apartment. In case of breaking this rule the fine will be 150€.
- The flat´s capacity is of 5 people. No additional guests allowed.
- Please take out the trash before check-out.
- Please note that an extra fee could be charged depending of the conditions you leave the apartment.
- You will be required to show your ID/Passport upon arrival. In order to follow local regulations and to be able to register all our guests on the local police’s database, we will have to scan these documents for all guests. I hope this is not an inconvenient!
- A tourist tax will need to be paid separately at check-in in cash. This charge is 6.90€ per person per night for a maximum of 7 nights. Guests up to 16 years old do not pay. Regardless of whether any guest stays for fewer nights, the tax is applied to the total number of nights in the reservation.
-Starting May 1st, the tourist tax will increase to €9.35 (VAT included), per person per night, up to a maximum of 7 nights.
- For bookings made on the same day we cannot guarantee that we will be able to welcome you in the apartment within three hours of confirmation of your reservation.
-Please avoid leaving the keys in the lock from the inside when you go out, as this can prevent you from being able to open the door upon your return. If this happens, a locksmith would need to be called, and the cost, depending on the time and urgency, can be quite high (often starting from around €250). In such cases, the guest would be responsible for covering this cost.
