Il Trivium is a stunning villa renovated in 2012. It's a real jewel!
Villa Trivium is one of the oldest property in the area, it's an 18th century country house. In the past it was the main residence of the Marchetti family, owner of several hectares of land in Albiano.

It lays in a 2 hectares of terraced south facing panoramic land.
The property has been renovated in typical Tuscan style, with stone made walls antique furniture and three large ensuite bedrooms (two double, the third good sized like the other one twin or triple) plus a fourth bathroom at the ground floor ( washing machine provided ) , here the living room with fire place (central heating integrated) and the kitchen (fully equipped)... the stone and wood is everywhere!

The third ensuite bedroom is in the same building, but with its separate access and private terrace.

If not necessary We leave the flexibility to rent Il Trivium without the third ensuite bedroom (usually families of 4/5 rent the villa with a double bedroom plus a twin/double/triple one). Obviously in this case for privacy reason the extra bedroom will not be rented to other guests.

Villa trivium offers a stunning breathtaking panorama, its very large private panoramic terrace dominates the whole valley with an amazing view over the medieval town of Barga. The private garden, sun beds provided includes a stone made barbecue too.

It's common to see close to our villas professional and amateur photographers taking panoramic pictures of Barga and of the whole Serchio valley...

The place is well know as the most prestigious in Barga, thanks to the amazing view, the tranquillity and the southern disposition of the sunny hill of Albiano. All this without staying in a remote place (approximately 2miles from the medieval historical centre of Barga, reachable by foot too by a beautiful just renewed ancient mule track).

The hamlet of Albiano, less than 5 minutes' walk from the house, boasts a shop for everyday necessities, the typical Tuscan Restaurant /La Terrazza/,and a cafe'.

Villa Trivium is covered by High Speed WiFi Internet connection.

Close to the Villa (approximately 700mt) there's the beautiful panoramic swimming pool of Albiano.
The price is 6€ per person per day (2025 rate).
Entrance free for 0-3 years old children and half price for 3-6.

Beautiful views, comfortable villa

Clean, spacious and comfortable villa overlooking the valley, with incredible views across to Barga and beyond. Has everything you need for self-catering and the owners are really friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful holiday there.

Lovely house in a perfect spot

The house was very clean, comfortable and spacious and we never tired of the superlative views across the valley. Diego and his dad are lovely and always available when needed. If I was to suggest an improvement, it would be a little more kitchen equipment - there was no sharp knife for cooking, no collander, few wine glasses and an oven tray that didn’t fit the oven. A small point that did not detract from a great week in a stand out property. Highly recommended!

Splendide !!!!! Belle vue !!!!

-Magnifique maison , ( chambres et salle de bain spacieuses et tout est très bien équipé ….) emplacement très pratique pour visiter la vallée de la Garfagnana….. tout est rapidement accessible en voiture ….génial pour les amateurs de randonnées.Les propriétaires sont très serviables .les frais de ménages et de linges sont compris dans le prix de la location .( ce qui est rarement le cas en Italie ) -Petite route très étroite et sinueuse pour accéder au logement….l accès à la piscine est payant et loin du logement . ( ce n est pas précisé dans l annonce ) la maison est entre deux autres logements pour touristes .

Eine tolle Zeit

Es war eine tolle Reise, sehr schöner Aufenthalt, wenn man die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht. Man kann sehr schön wandern, für Ausflüge nach Pisa, Florenz oder zur Küste etc. muss man allerding einige Autofahrzeit in Kauf nehmen.

Bellissima location

La casa rispecchia fedelmente la descrizione riportata sul sito. Panorami incantevoli e una bellissima terrazza dove fare colazione. A disposizione barbecue e tutti i confort che servono per passare una vacanza in serenità. I bagni in camera danno la necessaria privacy e nel complesso tutta la villa era in ordine e pulita. C'è stata solo una piccola incomprensione sull'uso della piscina, prontamente risolta dal proprietario. Posso ritenermi soddisfatto e consigliare sicuramente il soggiorno presso questa struttura

We had a wonderful stay, the view from the terrace is stunning, the house well equipped, the surroundings are very suitable for a longer stay. We visited Lucca and the sea, did some canyoning and hiked to Barga. Of course we were a little surprised, that the pool belonged to the only hotel in Albiano and there was en entry fee of 5euro p.p. But we prefered to swim in the river Serchio near the the old station of Castelvecchio qnyways. All in all, we had the most wonderful vaccation and hope to come back one day. Greetings and thanks to the nice and helpful owners, who even repaired the broken umbrella during our stay.

Un luogo incantevole!

Abbiamo soggiornato per cinque notti nella villa Il Trivio ad Alviano, nei pressi di Barga ed è stata un'esperienza estremamente piacevole, sia per la comodità e bellezza della casa che per la cordiale accoglienza di Diego e del padre. Si tratta di un vecchio casale ristrutturato con gusto, circondato da un bel giardino curato ed affacciato su di un terrazzo, dal quale la vista spazia sul verde fino ai monti (ancora innevati ad Aprile) e sul paese di Barga, dominato dal campanile del suo prezioso Duomo. La casa è fornita di tutto il necessario (non guasterebbe qualche stoviglia in più in cucina) e - pur essendo immersa nella quiete più assoluta - si trova a pochi minuti d'auto da ristorante e supermercato. In conclusione, un'esperienza da consigliare e da ripetere.

Authentic style, like a castle with fantastic view

The house is located on the sunny hillside beside the house that we rented from the same owners. The style is really unique and genuine, wooden parts combined with the stone, elegant and hand-worked, a fireplace and a comfortable canapé, rustic furniture, large armoires. The most stunning is the fantastic view onto Barga over the Serchio valley, specially from the upper rooms, a Belvedere. I think the area is very convenient for a family-meeting or holidays with friends because there are a lot of space, different bathrooms, a very large dining table. Around the house there is a large terrace for all purposes, imbedded in the penchant with olive trees.

Beautiful, stunning spot

We couldn't have asked for more from our time here. The views were outstanding, sat out on balcony taking it all in- playing cards, eating and drinking. Fantastic spot to explore from, beautiful area. We came with 3 teens had plenty of space for us all. Facilities were new, very clean but kept old features, which we loved! The owners were incredible, with local wine to start us off, came as soon as we needed help with washing machine and gave great restaurant recommendations. Bought some of their honey, best we've tasted! We highly recommend.

Fantastic holidays at a very beautiful place.

Il Trebbio is a very lovely place to be. During our stay we did enjoy a lot the beauty of the spot and the view from the terrace over the scenery of course. The house was clean and very spacious. It offers enough space for at least six persons. The landlord and the landlady were very helpful and very hospitable. They made sure we didn't want for anything. Barga is just a few minutes far from Il Trebbio. There are nice restaurants offering very tasty food. Thinking about to return for vacation again.
