Sunset Reefs is simply extraordinary! From the location to the staff to the food. Our best meals of the week were at Drop the Anchor. I cannot say enough about the amazing experience we had. Iâd highly recommend!
Sunset Reef is fairly new with 7 suites - all with a view. The hotel management and staff are extremely helpful and eager to please. The food in the restaurant is very good. At check-in, we were greeted with frozen fruit drinks, cold towels and water, plus some fruit in the room. Lovely sunsets from the restaurant! Hotel beach is rocky and is being worked on.
Property was pristine quiet and very beautiful. Room was high quality with top of the line amenities and decorations. Views were stunning. Staff and Alex the manager went out of their way to make our stay most enjoyable. Property is not in the busy overcrowded frigate bay areas, but 10x nicer then any thing there. Everything on island is close by and accessible with car or taxi. we rented a car and drove and explored island ourselves thats what I recommend. This is a luxury boutique hotel with maybe 6-8 rooms so the whole staff is there to cater to you! so if thats what you like this is a great place.
From even before we arrived we were treated like we had a private villa. This very secluded beautiful resort has everything someone could want for a holiday! The concierge Lavern helped to set up tours, dinner and everything else we could think of.
The grounds are beautiful and each room has a view of the ocean. There is a fire pit to hang out at in the evening, chairs for the beach are available as well as snorkel gear. Everything is very well thought out. There is a beach you can easily walk to and snorkeling is excellent!
The restaurant was amazing. Cannot say enough about the quality of the food and the chefâs ability to make every dish to your liking. Just a great all around experience.
The room has a kitchen if you wish to cook. There is plenty of space and the bed is even adjustable. Very spacious shower and double sink as well.
Do not miss this gem. Great place, with an amazing staff.
This all suite resort has thought of everything. From the moment I got off the plane and was greeted by Kayanjet staff members in their Porshe and escorted to the private lounge to enjoy a Champagne and snack, to the immediate feeling of luxury as soon as I walked through the doors at the resort. They have truly thought of everything. Cold clothe and drink in hand, they helped me to my room and showed me all the rooms amenities. The suite was one of the most beautiful rooms I have seen. King bed, RO water, Nespresso coffee makers, 2 TV's, gorgeous large washrooms, amazing linens and probably the best sleep I've ever had in a hotel. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable and it was a very nice touch to be welcomed personally by the General Manager Marc. Once unpacked I gathered my things and headed for the infinity pool overlooking The Caribbean Sea. WOW. The drinks and food were superb, I even got to enjoy their Friday Sundrop party at their beach bar. I took a walk around the grounds and enjoyed the beautiful gardens, monkey sighting, and a turtle on the shoreline. They even have a small gym equipped with Peloton and Precor which was a bonus for me. I can't say enough about this little gem. Wish I would have stayed longer.
The service was really very good. Everyone who worked there was very professional, helpful, and pleasant. You can WhatsApp the managers and get nearly immediate replies. The property is small but very well taken care of. Itâs a smaller (boutique) hotel so if feels like a mansion with a half-dozen or so rooms. All the rooms face the same way. The staff were happy to arrange taxis and recommend delivery restaurants. The infinity pool is small but more than enough. The staff will set up beach chairs and pool chairs for you. Theyâll bring over water if they see you donât have any.
A couple of reasons that I deducted slightly more than one star is the value. I paid around what Iâd pay for the Nevis Four Seasons. This boutique was nice but overpriced; I think that it cost double what it should. To be clear, Iâm not saying that the price was too highâ Iâm saying that the price was too high for what you get (value).
On top of the room rates there were a lot of service charges ($175/night for VAT, fees, and other charges). Some of this may be legally required (VAT) but not sure about the rest. I didnât deduct for this because of the uncertainty.
Youâll like this hotel if youâre looking for a boutique experience with lovely people. But you wonât if youâre used to a luxury resort with multiple restaurants or nearby places to visit.
