The rooms were clean. But constructions is being done on the propert which was very frustrating especially whe you wanted to sleep. It starts veryvearly in the morning with a lunch break, then backbto noise. This was hard.
I also received some keys so one was not working for the outside door. It was late when i returned, I was so scared and my ride had already left. There was no receptionist.
A part from this every thing else met the grade. I would stay again but without construction being done.
The property was being upgraded with an additional floor so there was some excuse able construction and debris but the room is clean and modern.
I would recommend.
I booked with this property because of the convenience to the port and shops, etc. plus because it's locally owned. However, when I booked I was not told construction was going to be taking place during my stay. I got there on a Thursday and it was constant noise from 7:15 am til early evening 24/7. I could not relax whatsoever, so I had to move to another guest house on the Monday for my remaining four days. I've reached out to Expedia and the owner about a refund, which to this day I have not been able to get a refund for the 4 days I could not stay there. If I had known they were having construction ongoing, I would not have booked there. Expedia should have been made aware of the construction so guests could know what they are up against. Therefore, their rules about booking and cancellation should be voided since I was not warned about the construction in advance. They need to do the right thing and refund me for the 4 days. I had to spend extra $$$ to go to another place. The noise was a big issue for me.
I was surprised how nice the room was. It was a good value.
It seemed odd the lobby starts on the second floor after going up a set of stairs on the side of the building.
It was a good quality room, a/c, nice furniture, nice bathroom with shampoo, body wash, plenty of towels etc.
They were currently doing construction while I was there which was a bit noisy. Hopefully over by the time you read this.
The neighborhood around is okay, looks a little sketch at night but fine. There is a really good restaurant at the Palm Courts Gardens about a 3/4 mile walk. Also great for lunch with nice views.
The location ia great in front of the sea, ferry terminal and historical centre of Basseterre. The rooms are small but enough area with all necessary ammenities.
When we scheduled a very last minute trip to St Kitts to look at some properties, we decided to stay in the City vs. the beach resorts. We were lucky enough to meet the owner of The Colosseum, Homer, who was extremely kind, accommodating, helpful and gracious. The little 'market' on the 1st floor was extremely convenient for anything additional that we needed. We will be spending a lot of time in St. Kitts over the next few years as my son attends Ross College and I assure you, the Colosseum will be on the top of my list to stay. I am super excited to see the continued growth and transformation of this amazing addition to the waterfront area.
it was very nice bed is wonderful lovely perfect area restaurants supermarket easy access walking every it 2 minutes away near the seaport cruise port ferry port bus station is only a minutes away supernarket on property ocean amusement park quite clean has a lovely kitchen best bed amenities are awesome
The property of the Colosseum is immaculate, quiet, and safe for a nice vacation. It has a great view of the cruise ships.
You will enjoy the stay!

Don't look more and book this place. The location, the views and the service are the best in St Kitts. The owner Homer is really helpful with everything. I cannot recommend this place enough. Completely loved it!
