Do not stay at the Motel 8 in Batesville, AR.

I travel a lot for business and this was by far the worst room that I have ever stayed in. It was absolutely disgusting! It was room 116 and was suppose to be a non-smoking room. The carpet looked like it was from the 70’s and was completely stained up and had cigarette burns all over it. The curtains had cigarette burn holes in them. The bathroom sink and tub had cigarette burn marks all over them. The outside window was shattered and the lock on the inside window was broken and wouldn’t lock very good. There was a bucket outside the window that looked like someone had been using it to climb in the window. The smoke alarm was missing, the ceiling light was busted out, the two lights in the room that did actually work, were very dim. There were a couple dead roaches on the floor. The vent was dangling down in the bathroom and the ceiling plaster was falling off the ceiling. The toilet kept running about every 15 minutes and was extremely loud. The mirror in the room had fell off the wall and was just leaned up against it and the room smelt like dog urine and cigarettes. This room looked like it was due for a much needed remodel in the early 90’s and yet never received it. I wouldn’t even walk across the floor without having my shoes on. There were apparently no other rooms available and I was to tired to drive, so I slept on top of the sheets. At 3 a.m I was woken to someone knocking on the window but I didn’t see who it was. Definitely would not recommend, it was awful!

Hotel in a much needed remodel. Couldn’t open the door by pushing the handle down,which is the normal way.The attendant asked if I tried to pull up, no I wasn’t told there was a odd way to open.s Stains on the carpet-odd smell when opened the door.Trash in the hallway when we got there and still there when we left.Wasn’t the worst place we’ve stayed but wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.And woke up to a dog barking in the room next door.

We were there 3 hours and started smelling weed badley. Loud. Shouting. Floors we dirty. No cover on bed and ac barely worked. We had to leave and find anothet motel. Went to tell desk and couldnt find anyone.

Blood stain on floors and sheet. Chair covered in filth. The desk was falling apart. The shower bar fell out and had a very sharp rusted end to it. The smoke detector had a plastic bag tied over it. There was a dirty area rug over the floor rug and I was not daring enough to find out what it was covering up. So I didn’t want to spend the extra 40$ to stay next door at the much better hotel I always stay at but was mad that I spend 70$ at a building that should be condemned. The staff was nice though so I gave it two stars.

My biggest problem was all the noise of heavy footsteps walking down the hallway and people constantly going in and out of the rooms. The room was comfortable, happy with the motel.

While the bed wasn’t “terrible” it wasn’t great either. One side was quite broken down so I had to sleep in the middle of the bed. They did allow me to have my dog at an exceptionally good price so that was good.

Worst stay

This was the worse stay we have had at any Suoer8 hotels. The grass on property was grown up. The hallway carpets were staing horribly. The bathroom did not have a door on it. The celing above the shower looked as if it had leaked and was painted over. There was no washcloths in bathroom. No toiletries except a small bar soap. The bed didnt even have a frame it was just a mattress & boxsprings on the floor, and was extremely hard. On the tv remote half if the buttons didnt work. There was no alarm clock. The a/c was stuck on 60° so the room was freezing. The door to outside did not lock or have a card keypad. Anyone could come in or out of hotel and have access to roims at any time.

I came to property and can’t enter room until 7.30 pm, also when I went to take a shower the warm water isn’t coming is coming too cold or too hot water. I asked to manage about them then she told me she doesn’t know about and I request her to different rooms which one working good she told me next day she going change the better room but today didn’t change room and also I can’t take shower last two days this hotel
