Lovely chateau outskirts if Bayeux.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel and the 3 course evening meal snd cocktails was a lovely addition to the stay. Location to Bayeux town centre was really close and within easy walking distance. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Maybe it just was a bad day to be there. If you don't want to fight the hectic town, this location is great. But, the free breakfast advertised by Expedia was refused to be honored by the front desk. He was rude to us and was working both the desk and the bar. His idea of a whiskey "pour" was let me put as little in the glass as i possibly can, and then quote "thats the rule" when questioned. Interesting enough, he also said it was his last day. Seemed to be more rules and expensive charges to collect money than make you stay welcome. Nothing to show off the history of the property or welcoming attitude. The rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. Shower head needed some work to keep adjustment and coffee maker didn't work... for your limit of 2 free pods!

Location workef great and comfortable rooms. Strange layouts with tri-level floors. Bed and toilet on first floor, shower/sinks on second, and other bed on third. We didnt use restaurant so can't comment. For basic needs and location it worked for us, but wouldn't consider a 4 star hotel.

Disappointing stay

Nice location, great stop over for one night. Spacious duplex room. Dinner was mediocre overcooked and service was very slow. If you leave an item behind do not expect staff to be honest. We had left a jacket behind in the room but when we just left the property we called to return to get the jacket but staff said they didn't find it. Very disappointing as it was a designer jacket and we know it was left in the room.
