The space
Cave houses are a very unique and comfortable way to stay and experience a piece of real Spain. Cueva de Ryder Loco is a newly refurbished cave offering a quirky and unique accommodation experience whilst incorporating all the modern features tourists of today demand. Cueva de Ryder Loco aim to bring cave living to life with a modern twist!
Caves are a perfect retreat from the intense summer heat Spain offers whilst providing a cosy environment in those winter months as they hold a natural temperature of around 18 - 20 degrees.

Accommodation:
Cueva de Ryder Loco is a three bedroom cave, sleeping 5 people, all persons must be over 8 years old. ( 2 double beds & 1 single ), offering WIFI. The cave is furnished with lantern style electric lighting and decorated with candles offering a soft relaxing light ( however there is extra lighting for reading etc ) There are two double rooms and one single room, all decorated to a high standard whilst maintaining a rustic feel. All bed linen & towels provided.
You enter the cave by a large traditional style front door offering natural light to the spacious lounge which has two 3 seater sofas, a flat screen tv with full british sky tv package which includes all the movies and sports, as well as multiple language TV and the Netflix app should you have an account- perfect if you wish to relax after a busy day. There is a log burner with pizza oven above for those winter evenings.
The dining room is equipped with a dining table and chairs , a stereo unit with cd player and docking station.
Between the kitchen and the dining room you will find a circular room which is decorated with lots of cushions, beanbag and a reading light for those wanting a quiet room; books and games can be found in here.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything needed to cook a meal; there is a glass table, electric oven, grill & hob, fridge / freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle as well as pots and pans. Iron & ironing board are available upon request free of charge.
The bathroom is spacious with a toilet, sink, bath and a walk in shower. There are two outside areas; one directly outside the front door of the cave which is for the guests sole use with amazing views of the mountains beyond and the town just below. This is where the jacuzzi hot tub is situated and is available April - October ( extra charge 8 euros per night - paid in cash on arrival)and garden furniture for guests to enjoy and take in the most of the peace and quiet. The second area is opposite Cueva de Ryder Loco on a quiet country lane ( next to your parking space )with minimal passing traffic, this has our vintage VW on it along with seating, you are welcome to use this space, this is shared with us and our elderly rescue dog, please come and chat if you so wish. You really get a sense of being in the countryside and away from it all, whilst being close to the town and all amenities.
Guest access
During a stay at Cueva de Ryder Loco guests have full access to the cave with its own front door, along with the use of the jacuzzi hot tub April - October ( extra charge; 8 euros per night - paid in cash on arrival )and garden area immediately outside cave door ( sole use ) along with a second garden seating area opposite the property which is shared only with the hosts.
An outdoor washing machine is available * there is a small charge for this and you need to provide your own detergent.
There is also a storage area where mountain bikes can be stored securely should you bring your bikes.
Parking is available.

Not suitable for children under 8 years old
We have an elderly rescue dog (11 years old ) who can be nervous.
We have optional extras which enables the base cost of the property to remain low;
There are extra charges for jacuzzi (8 euros per night ) during available months - this is arranged before your stay and paid in cash on arrival, and
LOGS ( 5 euros per basket; an initial free basket of wood is provided during the colder months only ).
