My experience at this hotel has been excellent. The staff have been welcoming. Two girls working at the front desk are very kind and helpful. The location is conveniently located above a mall with a supermarket. Thereâs plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Transportation is also convenient with plenty of taxis in the area. Iâve fallen in love with China and especially Beijing. This will be our go to hotel for our future visits to Beijing. We will be back certainly.
Room is clean. Location is near subway. Shopping mall in the same building. There is a big food court at B1 level plus some higher end restaurant in the same building on level 3 and 4.
This is a shared building. Room is long way from reception but there is a staff escort to the room. Excellent food court in the attached mall on B1. Walking distance to mtr.
We stayed here for around a week, and found the overall stay to unfortunately be below average.
Pros:
- The staff at reception and the cleaners were friendly.
- Enjoyed the location being above a mall and a reasonable 7-10 minute walk from a subway station
- Laundry. Fantastic having access to a washing machine and laundry detergent. No dryer however.
Cons:
- Very noisy! You can hear everything in the hallway that goes on. Unfortunately for us, this involved very loud neighbours. Screaming children, people having loud conversations at all times of the morning and night, and one morning at 2am we could hear screaming intoxicated people in the hallway.
- Room did not look like the picture. We thought the room would have the cloud theme with but we had a wicker headboard and the room did not look like the photo advertised.
- Bed was uncomfortable. Hard mattress
Unless you have business in this area, it is very far from the main tourist attractions. Overall cleanliness of this hotel is deceiving. The pictures look really good, but I'm not sure if the floor was ever cleaned during our 5 day stay. The bathroom is also mildewy. The walls are paper thin and the guests next to us were screaming until past on the first night. To the staff's credit, they finally dealt with those guest by the 3rd night.
The first impressions werenât brilliant. We arrived on a Saturday night. After getting off the taxi, we walked almost 500m (with luggage) before we found the place. The advertised address wasn't really helpful for taxi. Later we realised that using the name of the shopping centre QiMeng shares the building with was a much better alternative for calling taxis. The hotel doesn't have an entrance, nor a proper reception desk, of its own. Seems to me they hire a couple of floors from the other hotel (with which it shares the entrance and lifts) and block manage them under the QiMeng brand. The toilet/shower room is terribly small (but usable). Internet is unstable and hard to connect, unless you piggyback adjacent data points (the hotel staff provided the passwords for them). Otherwise, everything is fine: the room is clean and modern, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel appears popular with foreign passport holders (I saw several foreign looking faces every day). QiMeng doesn't offer breakfast, but there are breakfast shops just two blocks away (by the nearest underground station). The shopping centre has lots of restaurants occupying a whole floor, but only go alive after breakfast time. One evening, I even saw 20-30 out-door food stalls open around the shopping centre (I thought they were banned in Beijing a long time ago). Overall, it was a positive experience. If you ask me if I would stay with the hotel again, the answer would be Yes!
I and my son enjoyed the stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful. I highly recommend this hotel to people who is looking for a hotel stay in Beijing;
The property was not clean. Floors and walls had marks and scrapes. They donât vacuum between visits it seems like, as I found crumbs and things on the floor. The bathroom smelt strongly of cigarettes and urine. Entrance into the hotel was confusing. No separation of wet and dry in the bathroom which would be fine if there was enough space or if the room was set up for wet spaces. The bathroom door constantly leaked liquid and the floor and bathroom cabinetry was wood which was warping from the liquid. Lots of little insects flying about the room. No hand soap, no conditioner just shampoo and shower gel. Internet was incredibly slow (unrelated to the use of google). No scale to weigh your suitcases.
