Secluded Torch Lake Cabin w/ Game Loft & Fire-pit
Summary:
Torch Lake is half a mile away â National Geographic's most beautiful lake, and your home base for the week. This 3-bedroom log cabin on 2 wooded acres sleeps 8, with a stone fireplace, game loft, and backyard firepit. Boat, swim, and sandbar all day. Short's Brewing and Shanty Creek golf are 9 minutes out. Traverse City is 35 minutes. Glacial Hills hiking trails are minutes from the door. This is what Northern Michigan is supposed to feel like.
The Space:
Northern Michigan wakes up in summer, and Eagles Landing puts you right in the middle of it.
Mornings start slow â coffee on the deck while the hardwoods filter the light and the neighborhood settles around you. Then the day opens up. Half a mile to Torch Lake public access, where National Geographic's most beautiful lake is waiting with turquoise water, a legendary sandbar, and boat launches within a mile for whatever you brought or want to rent. Kayak the Chain of Lakes. Bike or hike Glacial Hills Pathway through rolling Northern Michigan forest. Grab lunch at Dockside on the water, then cold pints at Short's Brewing on the way back. Shanty Creek's five championship courses are 15 minutes out if golf is on the agenda. When the sun drops, the backyard firepit pulls everyone together under a canopy of mature hardwoods with zero light pollution overhead.
Come inside to soaring vaulted ceilings, a stone wood-burning fireplace, and a game loft stocked with shuffleboard, a Golden Tee arcade console, and a poker table for the nights you decide to stay in.
3 bedrooms, sleeps 8. Built for families and groups who want the full Northern Michigan summer.

Nice fixtures and furniture, very clean and approachable. Plenty of space for groups to gather (large room with fireplace, TV room in the back, and gaming area on the 2nd floor). Kitchen was very small, I imagine it would be fine if using the grill outside in the warmer months. Counterspace is at a minimum so maybe a giant coffee maker AND ice nugget machine isn't the best budget for space. Tub in primary bathroom has jets, but they do not function. I messaged owners to inquire about firewood and did not get a response. I messaged owners when I fell on the icy front steps, and they did respond and send someone with salt right away. Would recommend getting treads installed on wooden steps going in for safety.
We loved our stay in this beautiful home. We were all so comfortable and enjoyed looking at the deer each morning. Jason was very easy to work with and quick to answer any questions. The location was perfect for our adventures to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island. Would love to return someday!
This was a lovely cabin. We had a great time playing games, relaxing, hiking, and reading, and eating together. Bellaire is close and the cabin included lots of little extras.
The cottage and surrounding areas were absolutely breathtaking. We took advantage of the nearby ski hill, dined in the town of Bellaire and got cozy by the fireplace. Would 100% recommend and return.
Fantastic Americana themed cabin with great loft game room!
My Husband, daughter and I really enjoyed our stay!. The decor was beautifully done, and we especially enjoyed the American-themed feel of the cabin. One of the highlights was the loft game room â perfect for some family fun after a day on the slopes. I can't over emphasize how cool the game room was. The cabin was well-maintained, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Impressive wood and leather furniture throughout. Host was very responsive to messages. Highly recommended for families looking for a high quality place to stay!
We had the most amazing stay at this cozy-quaint cabin in the woods! Walking in to a warm, beautifully decorated for the holidays, and clean accommodation, was exactly what we hoped for. The location is also very convenient to local skiing, restaurants, and other activities. We spent one day in the cabin relaxing and enjoying as the snow fell with curious and friendly deer watching from afar. A picturesque setting no doubt! The owners were so kind, responsive, and very appreciative. A 5 star experience for sure! We will def be back. Thank you!!
We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property, and it exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and incredible attention to detail. The setting is picturesque, with lush woods that price a perfect background for family photos or a morning stroll. The interior is cozy and ideal for families. It is tastefully decorated with rustic charm. The kitchen was well-equipped for our family meals. What truly sets this property apart is its family-friendly features. A game room filled with games and a shed filled with outdoor family-friendly games. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, providing local tips and ensuring we had everything we needed. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a serene, joyful getaway with loved ones. We will definitely return.
One of the best places I have stayed. They thought of everything. The house is perfect but so is outside. So much wild life. Cant beat the peace and quiet. Stop thinking about it and do it!
We loved our stay at Eagleâs Landing. The woodsy setting was beautiful. Inside was super clean and very cozy with the wood burning fireplace. We were stocked with provisions to do laundry and clean up. Owner communication was awesome and spot on. We hope to be back!
My wife and I booked the cabin and was very impressed with the entire experience. Before we even arrived, the team was communicating with us and helping with property details.
Once we arrived, there was multiple deer greeting us. Was a nice welcoming committee .
The cabin was very clean and had everything a modern home would have. I highly recommend this team and property if you are looking for cleanliness, entertaining, convenience and comfort.
Great getaway.
This property is top notch. Better than most. Comfort is a high priority for us as we both have back issues. The furniture inside and out didn't bother our backs and afforded a very relaxing time.
The quality of the house is way above average. We love staying with VRBO and you can get different quality from time to time.
I'll definitey stay here again. The surrounding area is awesome too. If you love great food. Check out Chloe's Chop house. It is a 5 star too.
Jason is a great communicator and very helpful.
The cabin is in a secluded area with lots of deer and squirrel in the yard. The deck was a great place to relax and cook out on the grill. I recommend this beautiful cabin to anyone visiting the area.
Came here with 12 and 15 year old and this was the perfect place. The cabin was extremely clean and very comfortable...we slept so well! The property is secluded and so pretty. We were just 2 mins from restaurant and dock/boat rentals on Torch Lake. We took day trips to Petoskey, Mackinac Island...easy drive.
We had an amazing week exploring all that the greater Torch Lake and surrounding area had to offer. Cabin was a perfect location. It also had plenty of space to relax inside and out. We would definitely come again!
We had a wonderful stay at Eagles Landing! The cabin and property are beautiful. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch with a cup of coffee, hanging out on the deck, and playing in the large yard. My son loved the game room. Check in was a breeze. Jason was very helpful and quick to respond. Would stay again!
The cabin is very nice. Plenty of room for quite a few people. The game room was a great addition for the younger ones. The location to many local features is really great. Close to the lake, golfing, stores, and yet it was secluded back off the road so it was peaceful and quiet.
Great location for families close to downtown Alden
This house was super clean and well-furnished. The kitchen and bathrooms were also well-appointed with basics. Made our stay very comfortable and easy. Was perfect for one family and plenty of space if two families wanted to stay together also. Very close to downtown Alden and Torch Lake public access. Loved how the decor was done to honor the local area and lodge-y theme. The only other word to describe this place would be âhyggeâ.
