The village with a Moorish past is beautifully surrounded by the chestnut, pine and walnut forests of the Serrania de Ronda and is just a short drive from the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park. The surroundings of the village offer cultural enjoyment and a wide range of outdoor sports. There are well-marked hiking trails along shady forest paths to the neighboring villages of Benarrabá, Benaladid, Jubrique and Genaguacil and the 97 meter long Via Ferrata of Benalauria will delight extreme sports enthusiasts. Throughout the year, you can also enjoy various festivals in the village.
