Right next to a valley where we awoke to the sound of bird song. Everything we needed and - most importantly - excellent wifi speeds. So well equipped that it even had things we never use at home such as ironing board! The nearby train station was useful for getting to Malaga and other places when we didnât want to use the car. Talking of which, parking was easy enough, although we werenât staying at peak time. We hope to return as it suited our needs and the price was very reasonable.
A lovely apartment with everything you need! We would strongly recommend a car though.
A lovely relaxing holiday. Just what we needed! Everything on hand, a private patio to sit out on as the day ends. It is in a very hilly location though, so a car is a definite! Taxis are available and are very reasonable. The buses are at the bottom of the hill and itâs a long walk down. The train is also at the bottom of the hill but you need to climb more than 78 steps to reach the platform! We are pensioners so found it hard, but you youngsters will think nothing of it! All in all, we enjoyed our stay and the weather was excellent!
The hills are alive !! But not with the sound of music :-(
We mostly enjoyed our stay in Urbanization Torremar. The property was well outside of Benalmadena centre though. This meant driving most of the time as the area is extremely hilly and not given to an easy walk in any direction. Fuengirola was walkable from the property but walking back was a real struggle - not recommended for anyone with walking difficulties or Angina. I would suggest that someone on the Urbanization lobbies the local Ayuntamiento to get a local Bus Service to operate as this is definitely needed to get around. Unfortunately, three days before the end of our stay at Casa Christabel, someone vandalised our rental car and another car in the adjoining property !!! The cars had been "Keyed", possibly by some local resident who took umbridge to the fact that we were using the authorised official parking spaces. This spoiled the remainder of our holiday and I am now in the process of form filling, and lengthy claims procedures to try and reclaim the 571 Euros Excess the rental company charged. Not the ideal end to our holiday to say the least. So, if you are renting a car be warned that parking on the Urbanization could result in your car being vandalised, therefore make sure that you have Excess damage cover. The location is not recommended if you enjoy going out in the evening to the many bars and restaurants, unless you are prepared to fork out for a taxi to get you there and back again. In conclusion, our overall holiday was good but we will not be returning as the location does not suit our style of holiday.
Lovely relaxing clean accommodation in great location
We had a lovely week in May. We took advantage of the taxi transfer, but the train did look easy as it goes straight to airport. We are fit and active and didn't mind the hill. It is steep in some places, so would recommend non walkers consider car hire. The pool and area is lovely & quiet. We don't normally stay around our base as much as we did, the seating is very comfortable & the area peaceful, it was just nice to unwind. The supermarkets nearby are good, particularly the one at the top of the hill. The beach is clean & fairly quiet, sea warm, sun beds 10 euros a day for two people. You can also rent the studio next door for bigger groups. I would recommend and hope to return. Many thanks.
Casa Cristobel is a well-equipped, comfortable apartment on the lovely Mi Jardin development. Although the pool is closed between November and March, it looked as though it would be great for a swim if you don't want to go far. The supermarket and beach were not too far away, but I would say that a car would have been an advantage as the hills are extremely steep! Also in the winter months there are not so many restaurants open, so walking to one in the evening would have been quite a trek. However, the local buses and trains are excellent, with frequent services and reasonable cost. Unfortunately for us the weather wasn't brilliant, but we still had a good time.
A lovely little place to stay with everything you need for a comfortable stay, a nice walk down to the beach .a bit harder walking back up in temperature of 35 so we did hire a car which was a god send....a great place ..
We stayed for two months from Feb to Easter, the ground floor terrace is south facing and had the sun all day, excellent outdoor table & chairs with a large day bed and a Spainish Bar-b-que., with a great view down to the sea & lights of the prom.
The apartment is well placed in a quiet urban area that is well maintained, very clean & green.
The apartment is comprehensively equipped including a washing machine & full oven cooker, beds & bedding & towells are first class. English TV and wifi, new aircon/heaters in living & bedroom, which all worked well. A 10 minute walk down the hill took us to the start of the beach & 7K prom, with the bus stop & train station on the first street, so we did not need a car. Sarah gave us an immediate response for our booking and was quick to answer any contact we had with her, an excellent service. We had a great time here feeling a part of the local community.
We had a fabulous week here. We had a few issues on arrival that were not the owners fault but these were resolved quickly. The studio itself is furnished beautifully and the area is very private. The beach and bars are not too far away and iare within walking distance however we had a car which in our opinion was needed. We would happily stay here again if visiting this area.
