Marcos was a great host. He responded quickly to my questions. The house was very clean and well equipped. The beds were comfortable as was the furniture. It is a short walk to the beach which has an excellent promenade. You can walk all the way to Torremolinos and back, about 10 km return. The Mercadona grocery store is less than a 10 minute walk, a few blocks straight up Palmeras. You can find everything you need there. There are several great restaurants along Palmeras as well.. The train station is about a 20 minute walk up the hill which connects Benalmadena to several towns along the Costa del Sol. We ended up locking ourselves out by accident the second day we were there. We left the key in the lock, took the other key with us and shut the door, not realizing the door wouldn't unlock with the key still in the inside lock. We didn't have our phones either so couldn't contact Marcos. Thankfully we found a neighbour who could speak English. She came to our rescue and called a locksmith for us. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay.
