The house is simply beautiful, everything you could wish for is there and it was spotlessly clean. The location is also perfect, quiet with the lovely garden and pool not overlooked but a short ten minute walk to the many restaurants and shops in Bergarac. It really is a perfect place to stay.

Beautiful property, even better than the photos, great location, walking distance into Bergerac. Everything you needed was available in the house, lots of pool towels, which was helpful. Lovely garden, table tennis table was great. Pool was small, but lovely. It was a little nippy, but was lovely to cool down. A Carrefour and Lidl in walking distance and bigger supermarkets a short drive away.There wasn't aircon in the bedrooms (apart from the loft room which did have aircon), it was in the hallway, but actually this worked ok. There were additional fans in the bedrooms, that we did need, but this was probably only because there was a heatwave - temps close to 40 degrees, so normally this would be fine.There was plenty to do in Bergerac, so we didn't venture far, the nearby lake for swimming is great. During July/August there seem to be lots of events taking place in Bergerac, markets, food events, music etc. Be aware taxis can be difficult to get, so book in advance if needed. Overall a lovely break, perfect house, great hosts on hand if needed. Would love to come back x

Fantastic stay in beautiful Bergerac

Great hosts, super informative and helpful! Nothing was too much trouble. Severine organised two cots and a high chair for our arrival. There was even changing mats and baby towels. Great location, a short walk into old town and two supermarkets within walking distance! The house itself is spectacular with everything you will need for a great stay! Th outdoor space was superb and the pool was fantastic in the heatwave! Their recommendations for food and things to do was really helpful! We had a later flight and severine allowed for us to use their apartment to store our luggage and use until our taxi arrived! We were so grateful for this with two small babies! We would highly recommend and would love to return! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful house.

Perfect week in Bergerac

We can’t recommend Séverine’s home in Bergerac highly enough. The house is incredibly beautiful, with so much thought put into every room. It has everything you need and more. The projector in the TV room was great for a family movie night, the smeg coffee machine made the best espresso and the pool outside was great for the kids to cool off in between some games of table tennis. The seating area in the garden was lovely to unwind in. The location is also fantastic with less than 5 minutes walk into the centre of Bergerac. Séverine also gave us some great restaurant recommendations. If you want a slice of Bergerac heaven then this is the perfect place for you!

A perfect, comfortable stay

We had an absolutely delightful stay at Severine's house. The property exceeded all our expectations, offering more amenities (fantastic kitchen appliances included) than our own home in Germany. Every morning started beautifully with fresh coffee from the espresso machine. One evening, we even cooked fresh fish from the local market on the outdoor grill. We were fortunate to enjoy some warm weather, which allowed us to fully take advantage of the pool—large enough for a proper swim and even a game of volleyball with the kids. The house also features a home cinema with a projector, perfect for movie nights - although we ended up not even using it. One of the highlights was the piano, which the daughter of our friends played while we relaxed on the outdoor sofas sofa, enjoying the music. The garden, with its romantic lighting, provided a peaceful retreat in the evenings. The house is conveniently located close to the center of Bergerac, where we explored the markets and discovered a fantastic bakery with the most delicate pastries. There also are several supermarkets in walking distance. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a lovely welcome package that included local wine and cookies. Séverine was always nearby, offering helpful tips and assistance, making our stay even more enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday experience!
