Delaware regulations require all guests sign a lease agreement within 10 days of booking. A lease agreement will be sent within 24 hours of booking, and an electronic signature is required before final check-in information is made available.
Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 1 vehicle. This rental is located on floor 7.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the âDamage Waiverâ). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
Me, my sister and my mom went for a post Motherâs Day weekend trip. The unit was very clean, updated, and functional. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the beach. We used the kitchen all weekend and it was excellent. Beds were comfy. My only complaint was that the listing didnât specify what kitchen supplies were in the unit. We planned on cooking and eating in to save some money and brought somethings that were in the unit that werenât specified. For example, the coffee pot was a Kuerig single cup and pot combo which would have helpful to know. No complaints about the unit itself!
We had a fantastic time staying here for a quiet weekend getaway. Lots of beach walking, shopping, resting, relaxing & enjoying the beach in the off season. So lovely!
We loved our stay here! The place was clean, well stocked, and had a great view. We enjoyed the beach and the quick walk to it. Our kids loved that the beach had a slide and a swing!
The bedrooms were perfectly sized to fit multiple pack n plays. We hope to stay here again one day!
Overall, the condo was nice and what was expected. There were a minor issues that came up when checking in.
1. The Vacasa site emailed and said we would get a digital code but it wasnât sent. When we called, we were told that the code would be given to us when we got there. Once we got there, we had to call and try to message online to find out that we needed physical keys.
2. Then when we got to our condo: the door was ajar and unlocked. There were dirty towels and tissues all over the beds. We took pictures and had to call twice to have someone come in and clean the condo.
3. The cleaning was decent but not great: food was still dried on some plates, baseboards were dusty, large sliding glass door wasnât cleaned and the air filters in the bathrooms and main part of the condo were extremely dusty and causing us to sneeze and have itchy eyes.
I do believe that if the condo was cleaned better, securely locked prior to our entry as well as the communication about the key wad taken care of it would have been more highly rated.
I also was very concerned for the home owners and the condo being completely unlocked and the door literally open upon our arrival.
We liked the unit and the view was excellent. Just a couple suggestions would be to have a hair dryer in the unit and maybe some non slip patches in the master shower, almost had a few falls in there. Could have done without waking to construction noises early the one day above us that went all day. The bed was soft, the furniture was comfortable. The view was again excellent. I loved being able to sit in bed and see and hear the ocean. Would have appreciated knowing the main elevators would be placed out of service the day after we arrived and where the alternative was. The facilities, like pools and hot tub are pretty outdated and no outdoor pools were open but it was October. The price of the parking pass and passes should be included in price. Had I not called on the drive up we would not have had them with an after hours arrival. Good thing I read the arrival email closely. But the unit itself was great. I'm giving it 4 stars bc of all the other small issues. We would stay here again.
Convenient great location - Condo amenities could use improvement
Overall, you canât beat the location of the property. The beach access was convenient and itâs just a short walk to the boardwalk which was great! While the condo overall was nice, there was definite room for improvement. The fridge had no working water but there were at least ice cube trays in the freezer. The kitchen sink and guest bathroom sink also had no hot water regardless of how long you tried to let it warm up (the showers and master bath sink had hot water). The bathtub lever to fill the tub and stop draining also did not work which was inconvenient with having a little kid. The dresser drawers in the master bedroom had also not been cleaned or checked and upon arrival we found three full pill prescription bottles and a Mens belt. The cable connector in the master bedroom was also broken and the cable box cord prongs were broken in the outlet. The amenities were the weak point but again the location cannot be beat.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautifully appointed and beautifully decorated condo and sea colony! Beds were very comfortable, it was nice and clean, with great views!
There were a few small things that couldâve been better. The refrigerator ice machine did not work, nor did the water feature. There was a snafu with the key to the unit but sea colony fixed that within 24 hours. The screen on the sliding door was not intact and The cupboards had glasses but no wine glasses. When we arrived it was difficult to figure out the Wi-Fi password.
This was my first time renting a condo. The process was smooth and easy. The only problem is the dryer did not work properly and it took 3 hours to dry one load of towels. Otherwise my trip was relaxing and would definitely use this property again.
We loved Sea Colony and we loved the location of the condo.
Our condo was updated and well kept. Great location. Our only negative comments would be the kitchen was not very well equipped. We didnât have some of the basics such as a toaster. There was a toaster oven but we would have preferred a regular toaster. Secondly, the hall bathroom shower head was terrible. And the shower was teeny tiny. Way too small for my husband. He hated it! So only a few changes would be needed to really make this condo a great vacation destination!
