Let me start off by saying that we had a great stay. It was very easy to get to Sunday River to ski all four days that we were there. That being said there are a few things that I feel others on VRBO should know. First, you are booking a townhouse that is part of the Bethel Resort and Suites. The location on the map is not the location of the unit. Check in is at the hotel front desk, which is getting a facelift, and the staff there were extremely friendly and helpful. There was a pet policy that I was asked to sign upon check-in. It was basic and not an issue for us, but it would have been helpful to know that we needed to bring furniture covers if the dog was to be on the couch and that she needed to be crated when we were not in the unit with her. There are specific places where the dog is allowed to go according to the policy, but it is unclear with signage what is Ok and what is not. Secondly, Bethel Resort and Suites have a lot of amenities that I believe we were able to use. We did not use any of them because we did not know that they were available to us with this rental. Indoor/Outdoor heated pool, health club, and cross country / snowshoe trails. Lastly there was an issue with a chirping smoke detector. It started making noise just after we had unpacked all of the food and moved in. I called the front desk and despite it being almost 10 pm, maintenance came and changed the batteries in both detectors. So thankful! We will definitely stay again!

I’ve stayed at the Bethel Inn condos numerous times in the past. I would have booked directly through the hotel had I known it was the host. I had to contact them directly for check in info when I received none.When requested it through the host on VRBO check in day, I got no response. I asked for an early check in and was told it couldn’t be accommodated. When I went to check in at 4 I was told I needed to wait 10 minutes or so because the room wasn’t ready. I was then given a condo that I was told was an upgrade but matched the description of the property. Confusing and a little frustrating. Overall, the accommodations are fine, very clean, but somewhat dated.

Great stop for Ski Weekend!

Loved the little townhouse - perfect stopping point for ski weekend, PLENTY of space- upstairs is large, deck is huge, and very easy with our dog too. 2 minutes to downtown Bethel.
