Adorable cozy cottage in the heart of Beynac

Just as imagined and pictures in advertisement are spot on. Clean, Comfortable, cozy and everything that you need. We enjoyed one week here and delighted to walk down to the Boulangerie/Patisserie and then walk up to the Chateau every evening to wear off all the lovely meals we had. Frédérique and Martine are awesome and took good care with advice and recommendations. Highly recommend for a couple

From the first enquiry to the check out, Frederique and her team Martine were prompt, courteous and very helpful in making our stay comfortable and pleasant. We walked a lot, canoed, and dif many visits to the bakery. We loved here for the 5 nights we had. We recommend 'Jacquo' for your stay in Beynac, we would stay here on our next visit to the Dordogne. Cosy spot on the way up to the chateau

The apartment is small but lovingly furnished, and has all that you need (except wifi which didn’t work during our stay). We were there during a heat wave but the fan in front of the little window let us sleep comfortably. For us it was a wonderfully unique experience of living for a few days in a medieval structure in a medieval village. We fell in love with the village and all the Dordogne. (Note that parking is in a public lot, and you must carry your bags by hand up a steep cobblestone path - about a 5-minute walk.) Huge thanks to Frederique and Martine for their care and attentiveness.

Perfect and Peaceful Launching Pad

October is a wonderful time to be in Beynac-et-Cazenac. The weather has been very agreeable and the tourist season is winding down. This apartment is a tranquil home after a day spent exploring Beynac and other close by castles and villages of this scenic and charming area of the Dordogne. You are living in medieval charm but granted comfortable modern amenities. What could be better? Martine will make sure you have anything you need and are completely satisfied. Perfect!

Angenehmer Aufenthalt aber unprofessionelle Eigentuemerin

Wohnung ist nett eingerichtet hat aber einen stark modrigen Geruch. Apartment nicht mit Wagen anfahrbar; liegt an steiler Rampe. Dies wurde nicht vorab oder auf FeWo erwaehnt. Parken am Dorfrand. Bei mehr als Handgepaeck problematisch. Geringes Platzangebot in der Kueche und der kleine nicht ganz funktionstüchtige Kühlschrank sind eine Herausforderung. Muell wird am Dorfausgang in Containern entsorgt. Am letzten Tag forderte uns die Eigentuemerin ploetzlich auf, die Wohnung fruehzeitig zu verlassen. Das wurde uns nicht im Vorfeld kommuniziert und entspricht nicht der bei FeWo angegebenen Abreisezeit von 11:00 Uhr (jetzt auf 10 Uhr geaendert). Hätte die Eigentuemerin am Vortag ihren Wunsch geäussert, wäre dies ggf. kein Problem gewesen. Ohne Vorankündigung konnten wir allerdings nur unwesentlich früher als geplant das Feld räumen. Offenbar hatte die Eigentuemerin ein Problem mit der Tatsache, dass wir nicht auf Zuruf die Wohnung vorzeitig räumen konnten. Dies führte dann zu unprofessionellen Textnachrichten ihrerseits auf der FeWo Plattform. Von der Aussage, dass die Wohnung bis 10:00 Uhr zu "räumen" sei, da die Reiningsarbeiten durch Corona länger dauern, dann Zurückrudern, da FeWo tatsächlich 11:00 Uhr anzeigt, dann wieder Beharren auf 10:00 Uhr, dann der Hinweis, eine zusätzliche Gebühr erheben zu wollen, da der Zustand der Wohnung nicht in Ordnung wäre, ohne auf Details einzugehen. Das kann ich so nicht nachvollziehen. Kurzum - ein Albtraum. Letztendlich muss ich darauf hinweisen, dass die Eigentuemerin als Vermieterin fordernd und unprofessionell auftritt und ihre Probleme zu denen ihrer Kunden machen moechte. + Gute Lage + Schoene Ferienwohnung + Mitarbeiterin sehr hilfsbereit + Betten bequem - Anmassende, unprofessionelle Eigentuemerin - Modriger Geruch - Kuehlschrank zu klein, Tiefkuehlfach funktioniert nicht und tropft - Wenig Privatsphaere durch "zentrale" Lage - Wenig Stellflaeche - Mitarbeiterin spricht ausschliesslich Franzoesisch - Mitarbeiterin traegt im Haus nicht durchgehend einen Mundschutz - Kuechenplatzangebot gering - Schlechte Wifi Anbindung, Abbrueche - Standventilator reicht nicht aus Fazit: Angenehmer Aufenthalt kehrte sich durch unprofessionelles Auftreten der Eigentuemerin komplett ins Gegenteil um.

Wonderful Flat to stay in!!!

If you want the experience of living in a medieval village this is the place. The Flat is the perfect place to come back to after enjoying Château de Beynac, the Dordogne Valley or just the village itself. It was like coming back to my own 13th century home but updated with the modern conveniences of course. You can come back and make your own meals or if you prefer eating out and don't mind walking a minute or two there is a great restaurant at the base of the path leading to the flat. If you're planning to visit this area then I highly recommend staying here. Excellent place!

MERVEILLEUX PETIT NID

Les photos étaient déjà très suggestives, la réalité fût encore plus belle. Nous avons passée une semaine merveilleuse au Jacquou, où Frédérique et René ont pensé à tout pour que notre séjour se passe sans souci.
