A simple hotel but reasonable

This is a two star hotel and doesn't make any pretensions of being anything else. Service on check in was friendly with the member of staff being helpful. The hotel is half way between the beach area and the town (where the train station is). The fixtures and fittings are rather dated. It was interesting that the shower in the bath had no wall fitting. However, it should be remembered that the rate is reasonable for the area.

Could easily be made to be better

The hotel is functional and clean (even though bathroom was very dated - it didn't even have a wall fitting for shower head) and easy to find. The downsides were the bland buffet breakfast that consisted of everything cold and of low quality, nothing spectacular at all for 10 euros (no toaster, cold pre-packaged pancakes, cakes, cheese slices etc), and that the wifi only works in reception area.

A reliable place to stay

I stayed at this hotel a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed my time there, so I had no hesitation to book again. I am pleased to say that this second visit met all expectations - clean, quiet, friendly service and good value for money.

adequate for a stay to visit family off-season

We chose this hotel based on previous reviews, but we were disappointed that the property was not being maintained. Wallpaper was peeling and we had an ant invasion. The owners/managers did not seem very welcoming or helpful.

Excellent. great place to stay

Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff / owners were very welcoming and nice people. Hotel was very comfortable and clean. We especially liked the pool area. Location is between agde & cap d'agde, perfect for us. Highly recommended.

Relaxing getaway

Delightful - a cute quaint french hotel that should be a 3* instead of a 2*. Loved our stay there so extended it two more days. Only negative for us was not having a kettle in our room. Having the pool view is a must.

Totally relaxing

A very quiet, comfortable hotel in a wonderful part of France. My room was large and spotlessly clean. The hotel is a quick taxi ride from the Gare, and a 20-30 minute walk from the great beaches and restaurants of Cap d'Agde. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and we had lots of fun with my terrible French! Highly recommended.

Boat buyers

The new owner Carine, the most wounderful person you could imagine , wecomed us even as the hotel were closed, and we stayed for 2 nights in a very nice room by the pool. I will recomend Hotel Athena to all visitor to the city of Agde, and will most cirtenly stay there on my next visit. With love Stefan&Carina.

Hôtel un peu vieillot, nécessite une mise à jour, notamment de l'électricité des chambres. Nous avons passé 2 nuits, la chambre n'a pas été faite entre les deux jours. Personne, à la réception et au petit déjeuner, le personnel donne l'impression de se cacher. Nous sommes partis le dimanche matin vers 8h30, après le pdj, sans avoir vu personne.

Très bon séjour. Prestation parfaite. 😇 que demander de mieux !! ✔️Literie confortable, chambre propre et agréable avec une petite terrasse individuelle au rdc ainsi qu'à l'étage. ✔️Environnement calme. ✔️Petit déjeuner buffet à volonté avec charcuterie, oeuf, viennoiseries, pancake, brioche, pain frais, jus d'orange, salade fruits maison... et ++ Nous avons adoré 👍🥰 🎈Séjour du 11 au 12 nov pour 65,98 € la nuit pour 2 pers, petits déjs compris.
