Such a nice, beautiful place. Bath was not cleaned but the rest was clean and the service was excellent. The rooms were also cold but the accommodations were so so enjoyable that we still had a lovely time.
Attractive historical building with green grounds.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Needs a makeover.
Castle Bromwich Hall is a very impressive building and has masses of potential but it needs an injection of money to bring the inside up to date. The reception looked like a prison desk with all the CCTV screens! Not very inviting as a first impression. My room was fine but very cold as I could not get either radiator or electric heater to work and no spare blankets in the room. Breakfast was fine and staff friendly. Would love to see this place have a good makeover.
Second time I’ve stayed here and I’m glad to say yet again it was a fantastic stay, everyone was polite and very professional and the room was very clean.
The family room was huge and comfortable. Service at breakfast was very attentive. I would recommend it for an overnight stay as long as you can climb the stairs (which you are prewarned about when booking).
We had chosen it for the experience of staying in a period property, and it didn't quite meet that expectation. Although the building is nice, the bright signage and adverts, along with instructions like "no drugs" as soon as you enter, changed the atmosphere and identity.
Incredibly unhelpful manager who was quite rude when I explained the issues I had. I had poor wifi, toilet flush didn’t work properly and the sink blocked. The room was eventually changed to a better one. The breakfast time ended at 9am so I missed every day.
The photos advertised are very misleading. This hotel is very run down. I travel a lot for work and this was the worst hotel that I have stayed in for a very long time. The room was in terrible condition. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in. The only positive is that the staff at breakfast were very nice.
The Hotel is beautiful! Old but gorgeous. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Unfortunately the bar and restaurant really let it down.
The service was non existent. Breakfast was completely empty at 8:45. Couldn’t even get orange juice. Was told it was getting topped up but only one item came out at a time and by the time something else came out the last items were gone. If you wanted a cooked breakfast, you would have had to have it in 6/7 courses.
The staff didn’t communicate with us either to let us know what was happening. It wasn’t until I spoke to reception that I was told I should have come down earlier for breakfast.
The lounge bar could be a lovely space but sadly the lights are brighter than a hospital and there is no music playing to set any kind of atmosphere. It really let it down.
A couple of simple changes would have made our stay amazing and we would be returning but after our experience, we won’t return
Great place to stay, friendly staff, absolutely beautiful old house with lots of character had breakfast in wood panelled dining room, affordable also. Good continental breakfast. Lovely rooms and power shower. Top rating from us. Will be back,
“Exceptional service and delicious home-cooked food. Mateus and his team go above and beyond to accommodate guests, always eager to help. The chef is a standout, serving beautifully crafted dishes—his venison pasta and mushroom dish rivals anything you’d find in a top Italian restaurant. Highly recommend! The building and gardens are absolutely stunning, and I love the authentic furniture. It’s refreshing to stay somewhere that hasn’t been filled with cheap, mass-produced décor like so many other hotels.”
