Staff were fantastic; a real asset to the hotel. We stayed in a family room which was great, although a little bit of a distance from reception but I guess that’s good too as quieter.

Spacious and clean room overlooking the golf course. Staff were polite, welcoming and helpful. Made good uses of the swimming pools steam room sauna and small gym during the late afternoon/evening. There was a wedding party at the hotel during my stay but there were no noise issues in the room.

it cannot be 4 star, rooms were airless and smelly, breakfast offering very limited options for vegeterians or vegans, the pool was shallow and crowded.no plaster on the walls looking like something just happened.not enough lobby or communual area to sit and relax.

Really nice hotel. The room size was great and the beds were extremely comfortable. The hotel was very busy, but that was expected due to New Year and half-term. The pool was also very busy and there was quite a wait to get in, but we managed in the end. The steam room and sauna were lovely and the facilities overall were very good. The lobby smelt lovely, was nicely decorated, and the hotel was very clean throughout. Breakfast was quite manic and chaotic but there was a good selection of options. The staff were friendly and even brought vegetarian sausages to our table, which was appreciated. Overall, a good stay for the price we paid — very affordable and a nice night away. A good hotel overall.

My partner has stayed before and said it was good food and good service etc however we just stayed for New Years Eve and didn’t have a great experience (which I think is because they couldn’t cope with how busy it was). When we arrived we were told the pool was full and then would call us when we could get in, this ended up being an hour before closing, I’d point out this is more of a family/kid pool not suitable if you are looking to swim song lengths. We had a reservation for dinner but had to sue and didn’t get seated for over half an hour, had to ask three times just for some water. Dinner was a carvery, because it was late by the time we got seated we clearly just had what was left of the food which had likely been out a while as it was quite dry. Breakfast the next morning again was quite chaotic with them unable to keep up with demand. Like I say, my partner has been before and had a good experience but I feel they can’t cope with high demand.

Positives: very convenient locale, outside urban areas therefore easy to drive to. Passcode for keypad needed to exit ones car, which is provided by reception to residents. Ample free parking on site. EV car charging point available, which was quite handy. Hotel well within the grounds of the estate, allowing for a very quiet environment. Reception quick and hassle-free. Friendly reception staff. Access to rooms via key card. Room well lit, with natural views. Well heated and comfortable room. Complimentary Belgian chocolate on arrival. Coffee making amenities replenished every day. Room clean and turned over daily on time. Shower strength moderate. Iron with ironing table in the room. Restaurant food of good variety and fairly fresh. Same as breakfast. Did not use swimming pool or spa amenities. Negatives: the lobby looks bare and Spartan. Altogether a tad too functional. Toilet flush strength in the room was really weak, requiring multiple flushing attempts. While I did not use the TV in the room, I checked it. Early 2000s technology and of low image resolution, in dire need of an upgrade.

The property felt dated, with noise carrying throughout, footsteps in the corridors and slamming doors were clearly audible and we couldn’t sleep. The carpets were torn and the wallpaper was peeling in places. There was also a lack of atmosphere, with dining options that were limited and overpriced. Not as advertised!

The breakfast menu was fresh and replenished throughout. The staff from reception to lifeguard go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable! The grounds and building itself is lovely though a little dated which has no impact on your actual stay. We used the pool and the temperature was a tad cool, but jacuzzi and sauna room was fantastic. Having said this the shower temperature in the leisure was piping hot and this area I believe needed some maintenance with painting etc. Overall a brilliant stay and I would highly recommend, you won’t regret it.

Our family stayed for 4 nights and we had a wonderful time. The hotel was clean and well equipped. The pool area & leisure facilities were great - clean and well presented. We included breakfast in our rate and it was superb- plenty of choice; healthy and less healthy, with my husband’s coeliac needs well met. The staff in the hotel were very helpful and were always able to help with any question. We would certainly stay again!
