A disappointing stay. First - We had upgraded to decorations in the room as a birthday surprise. The receptionist kind of ruined the suprise but we made a fun of it and it was fine, then we got to the room - no decorations. They apologised and said they would offer a free drink and money off dinner - all good. Then, we went to the spa, one of the main reasons we booked a break away. There was a waiting list as it was so busy, so we didn't get in. And it was more like a community leisure centre - kids jumping in the pool, strong chlorine smell, loud and lot's of chatter - far from a spa. Dinner was lovely and the staff were very friendly too, same with breakfast. However on check out - the discount promised off our food was not granted. It seems a miscommunication with the restaurant manager and the receptionist plus waitress who served us - she reiterated that we would get a specific amount off dinner. They said they would be in touch once they have clarity of the situation, but charged us in the meantime.. we still haven't heard back and will be chasing up. Overall quite a disappointing stay, would not recommend.

Wouldn’t return or recommend - we stayed somewhere close by the previous week (with a pool) for less money. We were a family of four sharing a room. Main issue was pool areas being dirty - changing room (ladies) was covered in dirty towels/ robes and slippers, on benches and floors. Floor was also dirty. Steam room had rubbish in. In communal corridors we saw lots of piles of dirty dishes, left from room service, that were not collected (from the time we checked in and still there over 5/6 hours later when we went to bed). Breakfast was ok and staff were friendly. Beds ok too. I did report the changing room and the staff member did say she would pass this on. But we would not return - our stay the previous week nearby in a H.I was much better for almost £60 less.

Pluses were our room although a standard was spacious with a large very comfortable bed and both the room and bathroom were spotless. The spa facilities were great, the lobby smelled lovely and the staff we interacted with were friendly, polite and helpful. Negatives, room had very basic tea/coffee, only one bath sheet for two people and could clearly hear the conversation of the family in the next room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

All of the staff were really friendly and the hotel was big and spacious. However, it was quite dated, with a hot radiator in the room that we had to turn off but with no air conditioning we opened a window but was then subjected to lots of outside noise. Sorry to say that we were also subjected to lots of inside noise! So soundproofing was an issue. Our food was also quite mixed.

The staff were all amazing and helpful . We book spa breaks to use the pool area and facilities we were disappointed that a big part for us is the jacuzzi and it was not in the day we visited it did dampen our stay . The room Was lovely And clean . The tv in our would turn off randomly and back on .
