When we pulled up to the property the yard did not look like the pictures. Check in process was easy and the amount of space was the best thing about this property. However the furniture was dirty and in need of a good cleaning. The showers did not work properly, knobs falling off and tubs were clogged so it really was no use of having three. The water was so scalding hot that my 6 year old was burned by it while washing his hands. Broken furnishings that were just put together to look like it wasn't broken, had to take pictures to cover myself. Wifi didn't properly work. The ceiling on the porch was falling off and what took the cake was a real bad rain storm came while we were there and the ceiling in the livingroom began to leak really bad so I had to put a bucket down to catch all the water. I tried to get in contact with the host on several occasions, he/she never responded instead an automated message kept being sent saying the host would get in contact with me in 4 hours and I heard absolutely nothing the entire time. Not to mention the neighborhood is very questionable. Out of all the properties I've stayed at using Vrbo this by far was the worst. If the host had responded to my concerns even if he/she couldn't fix them all the review might have been a little different.
We booked this place for 12 people for a Fri-Mon am stay. When we arrived, we discovered that one of the bathrooms did not have working lights/electricity. I immediately messaged the host, and other than an auto reply that stated I would receive a response within â4 business hoursâ I never heard from them nor was the issue resolved. One of the main reasons that we booked this house was to accommodate 12 people-including the use of 3 bathrooms. Additionally, this house is arranged oddly where access to bedrooms and bathrooms are through walking through bedrooms, which made arrangements challenging. The shower temperature went from comfortable, to hot, to freezing cold intermittently without any discernible reason. There appears to be a leak in the ceiling in the back of the house and several areas had loose trim with nails exposed. The area surrounding this property is sketchy and appears to be bordering some sort of low income housing. There is frequent train activity which is loud and disruptive to sleep. I have stayed in many VRBO houses and this was, by far, my worst experience. I should have known by the issues I had with the property management just trying to process my credit card to reserve this property. They kept saying my card was declined but the credit card company said the transaction was not coming across to them and was never declined. I do not recommend using this property and Iâm hopeful that VRBO will do something to make this right.
Property overgrown, smoke detectors (plural) beeping at check in. It could be better with a little attention. Some random guy wakes me up our last day to tell me to not use the pool for a couple hours. Maybe coordinate that some other time.
