Clean and nice room. It was small but we knew that going in. Had an ok view of the lake but the staff was great and the free tea and coffee was also very nice. Great place to stop!
The room was clean and organized. As advertised, it was very simple with no frills. Could stand to have a few more pillows. Otherwise it’s a perfectly fine place to have a drink and spend the night.
Very clean and spacious room, even though I booked a single room. Bathroom was lovely, lovely shower, and local Icelandic shower gel which smells incredible! Great coffee/tea machine that you can help yourself to 24/7, great for those times when you need to be awake at 2am for an Aurora run. Lovely views of Laugarvatn lake and beautiful mountains on the other side. Great location in the golden circle close to Friðheimar tomato farm, Þingvellir national park, Geysir and Brúarfoss to name a few. Few minutes walk to the lovely Laugarvatn Fontana geothermal baths. Would stay again.
We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend.
Staff were amazing - so friendly and helpful - really made us feel welcome in this lovely country.
The rooms were great too - so clean, modern and uncluttered.
Comfortable, clean, perfect stay if you want to visit the Laurgavatn Fontana (and geothermal bakery)
Comfortable beds, simple but plentiful breakfast.
No hair dryers in the rooms, but friendly staff will gladly provide you with one if asked.
Would love to come back and stay a little longer than just one night!
We enjoyed our stay! The staff was very kind & helpful. Check-in was quick and our host gave us recommendations for supper. (The Historic Guesthouse restaurant down the road was great.) The rooms are a little small, but very clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.
I would stay here again. There was a restaurant in the lobby area and a convenience store right beside where I walked over to to get snacks and drinks for late at night.

Quiet charming hotel
The hotel was great. It is a remote location and it was the middle of the winter, so I think we might have been the only people in the hotel. We chose it because we wanted to be near Thingvellir and Gullfoss. The service and food was was excellent and I would not hesitate to stay there again. There is a natural spa nearby too.
Loved how cosy it was. The owner Yuri was amazing. made sure everything was okay for our visit and Oliver made us a lovely breakfast and was very kind and welcoming. Could not recommend this hotel enough to people in the area.
