Cabin was dark, not really a handicap unit because of no walk in shower. Was not able to get the internet to work. Bb-que grill should be listed as charcoal only. Really enjoyed watching the birds at the feeders. A very good place to come and relax.
The log cabin was comfortable, has a beautiful view off the back porch and is close to local highlights - we enjoyed a few activities at Big Cedar & Dogwood Canyon over the weekend. The host was very responsive and the office is on the property for easy access. There are instructions for the wi-fi but it was a system we hadnât used before and was a little confusing - to be fair we didnât reach out to our host and we eventually figured it out. Overall a great place for a relaxing getaway!
Price was reasonable, view from the back porch was A, fire pit, grill, close to Branson, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, cute-cozy cabin. Oh, and the owner David is about the nicest guy youâd ever meet. Highly recommend. And when we go back to Branson, weâll stay there again.
My husband and I spent a few days for his birthday and loved the peace and quiet of sitting on the back porch. Also loved how close it was to get into Branson and do all the things we wanted to do there as well. The owner is very nice and helpful and is close by if anything should be needed. We will definitely be back!
Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay. The owners are extremely hospitable. The cabin is in a quiet area. The kitchen has all of the necessities of home.
We had a wonderful stay. The home is so pretty. The woods and view is wonderful. I loved sitting on the deck and drinking coffee. I just wish it had been warmer. Although blankets did the trick. We enjoyed the personal touch and wood carvings done by the owner. My granddaughter insisted on taking pictures of each one!! It was convenient and pretty driving time to Branson. Just don't be in a hurry. The home was well stocked! Plenty of towels. No complaints just suggestions. Bathrooms were not very private. Direct family would be ok but other guests is awkward. Futons don't pull out so I had to put the mattress on the floor since my granddaughter wouldn't sleep alone. Tough for this old lady to get up from. I travel with a lot of stuff. Too many couch pillows and decorative stuff for me. Had to move stuff aside to put my stuff. I could not get the internet to work although it wasn't an issue for us since we were gone all day. I didn't bother the owner about it. The fireplace was lovely and warm. Tried to use the jacuzzi but ran out of hot water. Lastly, I thought it was more secluded from the photos. But there are close neighbors and a village.. I did like that this was a way that they supported their veterans and disabled. Not complaining at all just being truthful. I would definitely book again but perhaps in the summer. Looks like good fishing available.
Beautiful cabin and views. I expected a little more seclusion which is the only reason for the 4 stars. Hosts were very attentive and friendly. Not a far drive to Branson.
Very nice log cabin nicely decorated. We spent a lot of time on the back deck. Enjoyed the birds and squirrels, we could hear the deer, but never seen one. It was quiet and peaceful, would definitely stay again, just a short drive to Branson. My cousin and I enjoyed staying there.
The actual cabin was gorgeous. Well stocked. Beautiful bedroom furniture. The back balcony was a beautifully wooded nature loverâs paradise.Proximity to Branson was perfect. Dave was a very pleasant man and quick to communicate. The only thing we were not happy with was the entrance driving up to the cabin. It was an old trailer park and not well kept. The cabin was at the end of that. Not very pleasant to see or hear when it was advertised as private. I appreciate his outreach to veterans/handicapped, but a little more transparency about this wouldâve been nice to know when paying this much for privacy and seclusion.
We had a wonderful week in the Branson area while celebrating our 40th anniversary. Bear Cliff Cabin was a delight!
The cabin was clean, comfortable, roomy, and had everything we needed. The view from the back porch was awesome; we enjoyed watching a variety of wildlife including woodpeckers, bluejays, squirrels, and even a doe while listening to the wind sing through the beautiful, tall forest before us. The owner/host couple live elsewhere on the property and were very friendly and responsive.
We were close enough to Branson to be on the main strip in about 20 minutes, but far enough out to get a quiet, country experience. We would definitely stay in this property again.
The cabin itself is nice a bit eclectic which did not bother us, it was well stocked with the things you need. We had trouble with the coffee pot, but we let David the owner know so I think he will take care of it, just took a really long time to brew one pot. We did not see any trails that led to the lake, but we just drove over to it no big deal. the view off the back porch was nice very wooded area. there is a trailer park right in front of the cabin so the view out the front is not as nice. However, it was quiet it was not noisy or anything like that just not the best view. But if you are like us, we were in an out, so it was not too bad for us. It's not luxury but it did the trick.
The house is as advertised, but there a few things we didn't care for. 1. House is at the end of a short road that is filled with 19 old, rundown trailers. The view from the rear of the house is nice, but the front is not good. 2. There are no doors on the bathrooms. It was okay since I was there with my spouse, but if I was sharing a room with a friend - no. 3. The bathroom in the larger bedroom has no shower, only a deep jetted tub. The couple who were staying in that room were also seniors and couldn't get in and out of the tub. They had to use the shower in our room. 4. The decor could use a little updating. The entire house is covered in silk flowers/vines. Although the house was very clean, it's almost impossible to get the dust off the silk plants. A lot of people have dust allergies. The silk plants were dusty. On the positive side, the house is nice and handicapped accessible, except for the lack of the shower in the second bathroom.
This cabin is darling! G'ma & G'pa entertaining teenage G-daughter and with the two rooms/bathrooms it was so comfortable. in all aspects. The front and back decks are spacious with a clear view to nature. Incredibly peaceful. With all that off-the-grid stuff, still perfectly positioned to quickly access Big Cedar assets and marinas to play on the lake. Very reasonably priced is the bonus!
