This cabin is located on the mountain , certain parts of the road is gravel and paved . 4 wheel drive recommended Bears are in the area
Stayed two beautiful nights, only thing that would have made our getaway better would have been a/c in the bedroom and an SUV. We drove a Corolla and it was scary at times, unsure if we were going to make it up, Florida drivers!
Our stay was good. Great comfort, great wifi, getting to the cabin, well that was interesting! Thank God we had a Jeep 4x4. Make sure you have a good GPS. Getting in/out of the driveway, pass it and back in, or to the end of the road and turn around and drive in.
My wife and I needed just a quick weekend getaway! We loved every minute in this quaint log cabin. Everything we needed and nothing we didn't. We would definitely recommend this home!
This was a cute little space to spend time in. Well appointed (including hot plate) and cozy. I love being able to cook my meals when away from home! I was warm as could be on cold nights, and felt secure in my isolation. My only challenge was the driveway. Especially in the dark. Because of the sharp turn (as shown in pics) it was a bit difficult to navigate in the dark. Otherwise, I'd love to book again next time I'm in the area.
It was an amaizing time, it is a beatiful ĂĄrea, the cabin was clean and ready with all you need for the stay.We seriusly recomended a 4x4 car if you will going on winter. Thanks you!!
Overall, it was a good time. A couple minor things- the shower didnât drain well, and food from the previous guests was left in the trash can outside which led to a bear tearing up the trash and rummaging through my car. We had no idea the trash was left there. The drive up the mountain was absolutely horrible. I previously asked the owner if my car would be okay- but the reality is, Iâm headed to get an alignment. The atmosphere was amazing, thereâs no denying that. Very secluded and quiet for the most part.
Overall, we had a nice time at the cabin. It was pretty inside and we were accommodated with wifi and necessities. The surrounding natural beauty is nice also. However, the cabin was a bit dirty and the listing should mention the road a bit more. Recommend for 1-2 people, but beware of the road unless youâre experienced with off-road driving.
We arrived to the cabin at approximately 4 pm and found the bed had no sheets on it and the toilet was covered in poop. I really had to go to the bathroom and there was nothing to clean the toilet with. We had to leave and make the treacherous trip back to my sister's cabin.I contacted the host and she said she would try and get someone to clean the cabin. When we returned later that evening the cleaning lady was still there for another 45 minutes. It was around 9:15 when she finally left. I was told by the host that she would refund us the cleaning fee but I still haven't received it.
So this was a super last minute booking. We stayed in this cabin for a night and honestly it was really nice. The cabin was clean, comfy, quiet, and cozy. I could definitely see myself coming out here again and staying for the weekend. This little cabin has a 8-10 minute drive up to the top of this mountain called âcherry log mountainâ. This road is very narrow (literally if another car came you better have a plan to get over or back up) and mostly gravel. Thereâs some spots that are paved but not many. I would be prepared to have a vehicle that can make it up steep hills, tight turns, and can go âoff roadingâ. Some may say itâs treacherous but for my husband and I we enjoyed the adrenaline hehehe. Advise: go grocery shopping before checking in! Its about 30 minutes to the closest Walmart or grocery store. Youâll want snacks and water!
The weather was extremely cold. We left water running but the hot side of everything still froze. The tub wouldn't drain, and the water wouldn't work at all after the 1st night. Contacted the property manager and they would not come out. The prop manager called the owner and the owner said i could climb under the cabin and see if i could fix the problems but that was the only option. After 2 nights and days with no water, we had to leave. The owner said she would refund 2 days of our stay, but 2 months later, still has not. Renter beware.
The property was quite cozy and secluded. We enjoyed our time there. It was nicely decorated and amply supplied with all the things we needed.
The issue was the road to the cabin. Thank goodness I have a truck. The road to the cabin is treacherous. It is one lane most of the way. Thank goodness it did not rain or snow while we were there otherwise it would have been really difficult to get in and out.
We also had difficulty with getting the WiFi password. There one we were given did not work and when we contacted the person whose name we had, they did not know the correct one. We finally got it from the back of the router. It needs to be posted clearly in the cabin.
This cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway. Very clean, cozy and had everything we needed. The drive up the mountain does include some hills but nothing treacherous at all. The cabin is very private, quiet and tucked away. The wrap around desk is a nice feature for drinking your coffee outside and just watching nature. We would definitely recommend this cabin!
Overall it was a nice cabin and very peaceful....For a short stay it is good anything more than a week could be a problem however. It can be a difficult place to get to if you have a car that is low to the ground or weak..My only complaint would be that parking is difficult. I had a F-150 and it was not easy to get into the parking space. All in all I would stay there again..
This was the cutest and coziest cabin with an incredibly comfy bed. It had everything we needed for a quick one-night stay. Check-in and check-out were super easy.
Really enjoyed our stay, beautiful cabin up in the mountains. Came at the perfect time of year all the leaves changed colors and was a amazing setting. Quite, peaceful and secluded. Up a mountain dirt road, have a jeep but never had to use 4wheel drive just take it slow and steady.
Definitely would rent again.
