Enjoyed my stay

The room I had was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff ver froendly and happy to help with any query. Breakfast was buffet style full English on offer, cereals, fruit, toast. Dinks tea coffee, and 4 fresh fruit juices.

We have stayed many times at the Durley Dean Hotel as we know exactly where we are in relation to the beach, buses and restaurants. All of which are in close walking distance. The steam room is excellent and there is also a sauna and small indoor pool. Spa facilities are available. The decor is a bit tired but we are not too concerned about that as we are out most of the day. The food in the restaurant is very good and the staff are very friendly.

Nice but small pool, whilst it catered for a couple of people as soon as it became busy the pool area quickly became overcrowded. The restaurant used for breakfast was large with ample seating, although this made breakfast very busy and often had to wait for food items to arrive.

The room wasnt bad, but the bathroom wasnt that clean. When I had a shower, I could see hair of the previous person on the wall. You can tell they dont clean the shower wall. Very noisy hotel too.

Lovely area very helpful not far from Bournemouth carpark was small but can park on the roads got a space every time breakfast was brill lots to choose from room was clean and pool was great.Staff very helpful

The hotel needs TLC in a few areas. But on the whole, it's very clean. The staff are outstanding. The swimming pool is a lot smaller than the photo on the site shows. Get 8 people in it and it's full. If you're vegan or veggie, I would say eat somewhere else. When I asked if they changed their veggie option on the menu daily? I was told NO as all the chef knows how to cook. Room service after 9 pm, the chef can make a sandwich, but cannot do a bowl of Ice cream. (Pathetic) The rooms are small. Also you can hear the room next door, either using the shower or flushing the toilet. It's close to the beach & on a bus route.Breakfast is very good though.

The reception team seemed not to care for their guests. On arrival during check in, I waited for about 10 minutes as the receptionist was eating and talking to her coworkers in the next room. Also when I need to get something for the room, I need to go down to reception to collect it every time.

Our bedroom was fine, but we were surprised to find it located in the basement. The overall layout of the hotel felt like a labyrinth, making navigation quite awkward. Furthermore, the images on the website were misleading, especially for the swimming pool, which was considerably smaller than the pictures suggested.
