Oceanview Cottage | Private Wood-Fired Hot Tub | Sauna | Near Halifax

Cottage 2 is a charming two-bedroom waterfront cottage designed for relaxed coastal stays. Located at Wilson’s Coastal Club on beautiful St. Margaret’s Bay, the cottage is ideal for couples, small families, or friends looking to unwind by the ocean.

Guests can enjoy the private beach, coastal sunsets, and peaceful waterfront setting that make Wilson’s Coastal Club a unique retreat just 25 minutes from Halifax.

Inside, the cottage features an open-concept living and dining area with large windows that bring in natural light and connect the space to the water outside. A wood-burning stove adds warmth and a cozy coastal atmosphere throughout the year.

Sleeping arrangements include two queen beds.

As part of Wilson’s Coastal Club, guests staying in Cottage 2 also enjoy access to our private waterfront grounds, guest-only beach, and shared resort amenities.

Although Wilson’s Coastal Club is a small cottage resort, each cottage is privately spaced across the waterfront property, allowing guests to enjoy a peaceful and relaxed coastal setting.

Wood-Fired Hot Tub (Optional Add-On):
Guests have the option to add a private wood-fired saltwater hot tub to their stay. This unique experience is available year-round.

To use the hot tub, guests must contact us in advance, sign a waiver, and provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for preparation. The hot tub cannot be added or cancelled on the day of check-in.

Each tub is drained, cleaned, and refilled with fresh saltwater pumped directly from the ocean for every reservation, then reheated from ocean temperatures that can be as low as 35°F. The preparation process typically takes 4–7 hours.

Once prepared, guests maintain the heat of the hot tub using the firebox for the remainder of their stay.

Hot Tub Add-On Fee
$65 + tax (one-time fee)

Includes preparation, initial heating to approximately 100°F, one tote of firewood, and access to the shared oceanfront sauna during your stay.

Sauna & Firewood:
Our wood-fired oceanfront sauna is shared with other cottages and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

Guests who add the hot tub automatically receive access to the sauna during their stay.

Guests who prefer to use the sauna only may do so by purchasing a tote of firewood for $15 + tax per session and signing the required waiver.

Additional firewood can be purchased at the office during office hours (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily, excluding holidays).

Gear Rentals (Seasonal – Additional Cost):
Outdoor gear rentals are available during office hours, including:

• E-Bikes: $25 + tax per day (10:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
• Stand-Up Paddle Boards: $15 + tax per hour
• Kayaks: $15 + tax per hour

Availability is seasonal and weather dependent.

Pets:
Pets are welcome. A $50 + tax pet fee per pet applies (2 max).

Additional Guests:
For one-night reservations, no additional guests are permitted on site beyond the number listed in the booking.

On-Site Laundry:
A coin operated washer and dryer are available for guest use on a seasonal basis. Please message prior to your stay to confirm availability.
