STUDIO GUEST COTTAGE ON THE NATIONAL FOREST

Unit does NOT have a kitchen.

Chill out in the beautiful ponderosa pine forest of Pinetop, Arizona. Our property backs the Site-graves National Forest. The property is within walking distance to Charlie Clark's, The Orchard, Eddie's Country Store, coffee shops, and lots of cute little shops. We are the closest property to the forest entrance. In the summertime, enjoy hiking trails that are only steps away. In the winter months, we are twenty minutes from winter sports at Sunrise Ski Resort.

We have two parking spots with video monitoring. Non-aggressive dogs are welcome to play in the front gated yard. We have three very friendly dogs in a separate yard. There is a $40 pet fee if registered ahead of time. $50 fee for unregistered "surprise" pets. We are pet friendly but please declare your pet! Please take your pets with you when you leave to go out.

We have a mounted 40-inch Samsung TV has with apps and streams movies well. There is a weak WIFI signal in the cottage. We also have a mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, and DVD player. There is no kitchen!

The cottage was built in 1955 and still has the original pine walls. It is cozy with a charming mountain feel. The rustic bedroom is contrasted by a newly renovated luxury style bathroom featuring marble floors, marble counter tops, and a walk-in shower. There is a whole bathroom water filter and tankless water heater. Hydronic baseboard heaters with thermostat control will keep you comfortable. The heaters are quiet and keep the room warm without drying the air. We do not have air conditioning but there is a portable fan to put by the security screen door. You cannot see into the room with the security door closed.

The cottage has one comfortable queen-sized bed that can fit two people. The cottage itself is is not attached to the main house. It is attached to the garage but there is no entrance into the cottage from the garage.

The cottage features all new electric, plumbing, and a smoke detector for your safety and peace of mind.

We have five outdoor security cameras on the acreage. They have the ability to monitor and record video and sound. One on the playground, one on the front yard, one on the side of the front yard, one pointing at the driveway, and one doorbell camera at the gate for the main house.

Great location and had everything we needed

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and had everything we would need for a couple night's stay. I would give it a 5 but the bed was really hard and seemed pretty old (wires in the mattress creaked). Maybe they could add a mattress topper to it to soften it up a bit. Otherwise, they have done a very nice job remodeling the cabin with updated fixtures, beautiful shower, etc.

Comfy and clean

Stayed here for a holiday and really enjoyed it. Perfect location for those looking hike and take in nature without roughing it. The cabin had everything we needed and Jodi even recommended some local trails for us and the dogs to enjoy.

Sweet spot!

My husband, pup and I stayed for two nights at the end of our 4.5 week summer road trip. It's hard to find pet friendly accommodation in Pinetop so were thrilled to find the cabin. It was well provisioned, comfortable, quiet and had a great yard for our dog. Since we go to Pinetop several times a year, we look forward to staying again!

Fabulous for furbabies!

The cottage is about the size of a single motel room. But, it was cozy. The best part was the large, fenced, yard for my furbaby! The host does homeschooling for young children. So, she would try to meet them at the gate to ensure the gate got latched. However, several times the gate didn't latch properly which led to an unexpected adventure for my furbaby. It wasn't what I had pictured, but it was a very nice stay.

Perfect getaway

Every moment of our trip was perfect, our host was hospitable and attentive to anything we needed! Thank goodness we were able to bring our dog with us. We grilled and dined under the stars and their dog bullet was so friendly! Would definitely book again if we make it out to Pinetop again, the photos don't do the property justice may look small but was very spacious! Don't pass this spot up if you travel out there!

Awesome Stay!

Our stay was great! The check in process was very easy and Jodi was super nice! It was even ready a few hours early. Cute guesthouse, perfect for a couple. Don't forget to say hi to the doggos Bullet, Pebbles and spoiled Spud. Jodi even sent us home with eggs from her chickens. Can't go wrong staying here!

Cozy

Great location, within walking distance to food and drink options! Place feels like your out in the woods. Very peaceful. The fenced in yard was great for our 2 small dogs to hang out in while we sat out and talked. Host was super responsive. We liked this place and would love to come back!

Perfect little place in the woods

Quiet neighborhood near forest land. Perfect for walking the dogs. The host was very nice, she even left an umbrella out for us at the gate, when a rainstorm hit. There is a camera situated on a tree that faces the little sitting area which makes it uncomfortable to want to sit and enjoy your morning coffee without feeling like you are being watched. All in all it was a perfect studio cottage for us and our dogs for a weekend getaway.
