Fireplace did not work and request to fix it didn’t work. In room heating unit made unbearable loud rattling noise making it impossible to sleep. We’ve stayed here numerous times and I stay every year reciting an entire cottage for a ladies weekend. This was by far our worst experience. Property maintenance seems to be significantly declining.

Staff are wonderful, love the pools and outdoor hottub. Resort is big with lots of lodging options. Love the yoga class on the weekends and bingo! Lots of kids activities too. Music at restaurant at night. Love the coffee shop inside the north hotel. They also have a skating rink and complimentary skis for cross country, which we didnt do.

The patio door was frozen which could cause a safety concern in the case of a fire. One of our towels had a blood stain on it which happened last year as well. Otherwise it was good.

We chose the cheapest room which was probably our mistake. The room had stuff that needed updating, the door going outside to the balcony wouldn't open up all the way and the sliding door to the shower wouldn't open and close without manhandleing it. The walls/floors were paper thin and we could hear EVERYTHING going on around us and quickly found out it was very much a party hotel. It's a beautiful campus and the receptionist was nice enough though kept on getting distracted and saying the same thing over and over. I'm sure it's a really nice place to be in the summer, with the whole family and in a much nicer room but we probably won't be back.

North is always excellent. From the moment you step out of the car under the heated entry (it’s winter) and in to the stunning two story vaulted lobby with its massive stone fireplace and comfortable seating areas. Check in was quick and easy. The room was spacious, well appointed and clean. North has arguably the nicest hotel bathrooms in the area. I have to give a big shout out to the coffee stop staff they are super friendly and took great care of us. Be sure to take advantage of the rec center with indoor/outdoor pools, whirlpools and workout center.
