Relaxing cozy cabin on beautiful Pere Marquette River - Recently Renovated!!

Beautiful cabin property located between Ludington and Baldwin on the Big South branch of the Pere Marquette river. We have added the home next door as a 3 BR rental also, VRBO ID 9368622, search Branch Township, MI and look for the description that says "Beautiful Cabin with Gorgeous Riverbend View". Or, Google "VRBO Property HA 9368622" and look for "beautiful Cabin with Gorgeous Riverbend View". Come for the great fishing, quiet relaxation, kayaking or tubing down the river, or hiking in nearby Manistee National Forest trails. This cabin is situated literally on the bank of the Pere Marquette River. It has gorgeous views of the river and is conveniently located approximately 30 min from Ludington or 1hour from Muskegon. Popular destinations all within an hour's drive include Pentwater, Hart and the Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Ludington and Manistee. Rockers on the porch are a great spot for relaxing or having a cocktail while viewing the outdoors and river, or sit at the fire pit in the evening and roast marshmallows. Lots of wildlife including eagles, deer, blue herons, salmon, and many wild birds to enjoy. Also a great spot for hunters and fishermen looking for comfortable, modern lodging while enjoying the great outdoors. Conveniently located 1 mile from a local store, bar, and restaurant.

All of our beds have really comfortable, memory foam mattresses. We have a new 55" smart TV and offer YouTube TV streaming service.

What a great place to reset and enjoy nature! The home was cozy but very roomy. Beautiful large kitchen with new looking appliances. Beds were so comfortable!! Unfortunately, the TV worked great so my husband could watch all his football games over the weekend. We were blessed with good weather and watched the October leaves change and fall, the steelhead swim upstream and enjoyed a couple evening fires. The house sits on a nice road to walk your pup down, too. The house was well maintained and clean. The location is quite a ways from a grocery store, so I suggest shopping before you come. We really enjoyed our time here and hope to return. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The property was very clean, well taken care of and just like the pictures showed. It was very quiet and peaceful with great scenery and wonderful views. The short walk to the bridge at the end of the road resulted in our family enjoying a 1.5 hour tube float back to the cabin. Everything is a short drive (about 30 mins) from the cabin. It was a great time and we will definitely return for a future vacation.

We rented this cabin and the one next store owned by the same host. It was wonderful. The river was beautiful. The host was very nice and attentive. Went to Pentwater to shop and to Baldwin for that a float down the pers Marquette. These cabins were comfortable and perfect for family. We would definitely rent this again.

Family Weekend

We stay with our four adult kids (18-22) for three nights. Our stay could not have been better. The place was clean, well kept and the perfect size for our group. We enjoyed relaxing tmornings and evenings by the river. The directions and all the information we recieved up front was very helpful. We were 45 min or less from all the activities we wanted to do (Pentwater, Siver lk sand dunes, Pine river canoe). We will be booking again next year.

It was wonderful, peaceful quiet, with the river view being the highlight. We just Sat on the deck, or bedroom, or sitting room watching the river flow and birds and fish flitter about. Just what we were looking for. The house all we needed. The fire pit was great, kitchen had all we needed, washer and dryer if necessary. Easily accessible if mobility issues, but 2 large steps to get into house, so maybe not wheelchair friendly . We would definitely go back for a relaxing time. Loved seeing the turkeys fly over the river . Only down side, is their other rental property is very close, so I'd position myself to not see it, and if the vacationers there are loud or even just enjoying the outdoors too if can interfere in the peace . Another thing, which the hosts note, is you are about 30 minutes from anything, so if you wanted to get out and explore parts of western Michigan it's a bit of a trek to get there. We tried once, and since it's rural and roads aren't marked well, and cell service patchy on the roads, got a little lost, didn't feel like trying to figure it out, and went back to sit by the river .BUT the place was a haven for rest and quiet nature beauty!! Hopefully, I'll have the river images in my head forever . Thank you for sharing this special place. It's hard to find single level accommodations on the water, and a super duper bonus, we could bring our 2 dogs!!! Happy campers.

Memorial Weekend Relaxation

My husband and mom and I all stayed at this comfortable, clean rental for the weekend. Our main attraction was to attend a family wedding in the area. This was a perfect spot for us. We were impressed with the great directions we received before arrival. The furniture was comfortable including the beds. Having everything on one floor was awesome for my 80 year old mother. The deck was perfect for relaxing between wedding activities. We really enjoyed the quiet country road for walking the dogs. Also it was very convenient to have a few local dining spots to enjoy. The wifi worked fine gor helping us stay in touch with family. My favorite experience was definitely the rocking chairs on the deck with the river view. We spent some time in the front yard as well for the warmth of the sun. We enjoyed seeing deer, turkeys and a lot of different birds. There was a handrail for helping to get up the front door steps. If you are looking for a quiet spot to enjoy nature, this would be a great spot. We are very grateful to have had this beautiful retreat.

very nice

I think this is our best rental we have stayed at in Michigan. There are places that say they are right on something. Both of these cottages that are there to rent are right on the river. it is really nice to find somewhere you really want to go back to , and this is that kind of stay. Dave is super nice and the care of the places really shows.

Weekend getaway

We decided to book a last minute weekend getaway to do some dirt biking and got the added benefit of getting to do some pretty spectacular fishing right outside the back door of the house. Would highly recommend Dave’s place and we look forward to staying again in the future.

Great Spot!

Loved the set up of the home, my husband and I (Grandma and Grandpa) were able to be on one side of the house in far bedroom, while daughter, her husband and our grandbabies were on the other side! River is beautiful, and listening to it in the middle of the night is heavenly!

Riverview Cabin

Very peaceful and relaxing. The kitchen is fully stocked. Everything you need is there. We always do our own cooking and there wasn’t anything missing. The cabin was very clean and the directions spot on. Do print them up though as GPS is spotty. Great WiFi in the cabin. We will be staying here again!!
