This is a luxurious ski-in/Gondola-out 2-bedroom condominium unit located in the heart of Breckenridge at the highly sought-after Mountain Thunder Lodge resort. The elegant complex offers an authentic mountain taste and excellent walking proximity to historic Main Street and the Gondola. At the end of the day, you can ski home off the Lower Four O'Clock / Gondola Skyway Ski Back trail.

With new floors, cabinets, and quartz counters, this 1025-square-foot condo with a private wrap-around deck is one of the largest units at the resort and only shares one wall with the adjacent unit. Like the resort lobby, our unit features beautiful rustic stonework and wood throughout. It is topped off with quartz in the kitchen. The condo's kitchen comes fully stocked with all of the plateware, utensils, and mixing bowls that you will need to make your stay comfortable; yes, we even have a coffee pot. The kitchen opens up directly into the roomy dining and living areas. From here, guests can enjoy the large flat-screen TV and great views from the private deck, all without leaving the comfort of the unit's gas fireplace.

Mountain Thunder Lodge has superb amenities: The grand lobby features a spacious seating area decorated with log accents, slate floors, plush furniture, and a gorgeous fireplace. The resort offers entry to a heated outdoor pool and hot tub area with a gas grill and children's play area. Additionally, guests have immediate access to a fitness center, complimentary shuttle services, and other terrific conveniences. Guests also have a personal ski locker at the corner of the elevator bank on the first floor. Guests may also access the amenities at One Ski Hill Place, a sister property, which features a movie lounge, a two-lane bowling alley, a spa, and two indoor pools. There are communal, coin-operated laundry facilities down the hall from the condo.

There are two big and well-appointed bedrooms in this unit. The master bedroom features a king bed, a flat-screen TV, and an updated en suite full bathroom. The master spa includes a double vanity, soaking tub, separate shower, and stonework. In the guest bedroom, you will find a queen bed and a third flat-screen TV. The updated guest bathroom is right across the hall from the guest room, and extra sleeping space can be created by utilizing the unit's queen sleeper sofa. Vaulted ceilings in the bedrooms and large windows make this unit bright and open.

In the winter, guests can enjoy access to skiing, snowboarding, dog sledding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and more! In the summer, guests can go swimming, biking, fishing, golfing, horseback riding, white water rafting, mountain biking, or just relax on the unit's deck to enjoy the beautiful scenery and crisp air.

Water Sensors: This unit is equipped with Govee Water Sensors in all areas where water leakage is possible. The sensors are approximately 3.5” x 2.0” x 1.0”. If they come in contact with water a loud alarm will be emitted. If a sensor is triggered SCVR will be notified. The location of the leak will be known but not the cause. Please call SCVR immediately to advise of the source of the leak so timely corrective action can be taken if necessary. The sensors can be silenced utilizing the button located on the top of the sensor or by drying the metal tabs located on the bottom of the sensor. If the alarms are silenced it is still necessary to call SCVR. The Govee gateway is plugged in either in the hallway or behind the sofa. Please do not unplug the gateway. Doing so will not silence the alarms.

GREAT location!!

We loved the location and accommodations!! The condo was perfect for my husband and I and our daughter and boyfriend to serve as "home base" while we explored the area. We did take advantage of the partner property to go and bowl, and really enjoyed that. There was some really annoying construction noise during 2 days of our stay. We understand that work must go on, but it would have been nice to know to expect that and during what hours. We would definitely return if our travels bring us back to Breckenridge!

We had a comfortable stay and the property was very clean. Only downsides were a tricky dishwasher and no in-room laundry. Parking under the building was a great convenience. Access to the slopes were about as good as one can get in Breckenridge.

Family ski vacation

Overall a very nice, clean condo. Beds were comfy. We really enjoyed: Gas fireplace, easy ski-in location with ground floor ski locker, on-site laundry, free shuttle to town and to the lifts, amenities at the sister property (accessed via gondola or the shuttle). Cons: You can walk to the gondola but it's a long walk especially with ski gear, kitchen adequate for basic food prep but needs improvement (would like mugs vice little tea cups, needs new skillets, new coffee maker, lids that fit the pyrex bowls). Dishwasher needs repair or replacement. Key pick up and return is at the condo management office about a mile away. No problem if arriving in a vehicle. Free underground parking for one vehicle was great although parking spots were tight. Front desk staff, although not associated with the condo, were very helpful in answering questions, providing maps and directions. Would stay there again for a ski vacation.

Very nice location

The place was very clean. We loved the location. Super easy walk to Main Street. We never had to use the shuttle. We spent an afternoon at the pool across the street. It was beautiful and had everything you could need. Only suggestion I would make is they could use new bedding. Think that would go a long way in bringing it up a notch for sure. Would stay here again!

Perfect Location

We were able to check in an hour early, which was great because we were tired from a concert in Denver the night before, and we arrived to Breckenridge a little early. The place was spacious and clean. Walking distance to literally everything, so you can go have a couple drinks at dinner and not have to worry about driving. There's also a shuttle service, but we didn't use it. I'm sure that comes in handy for a lot of people who are unable to walk to the main road. You're also walking distance to the Gondola. There's a trail that runs right next to the lodge, and that trail connects to a few others. I hiked from the lodge to Sawmill Reservoir and it only took 20 minutes to see the most beautiful view from the lake. My only complaint was that the hot tubs on the property were not working, but it's not enough of a complaint to diminish my overall satisfaction of our stay. I will for sure be back. I'm already planning my next trip out there. Hands down a great experience overall.

We had a pleasant stay. Very spacious and clean. Location was reasonably close to Main Street, which was ideal for a summer rental. It was a little weird that we were a VRBO unit inside a larger complex, but Ski Colorado made it a point to reach out before and during stay and is located fairly close to the rental unit. Overall this was a positive experience.

Enjoyed our stay

The condo met our needs and was a pleasant experience. It has a pretty view and comfortable. It is a bit of journey to the gondola in ski boots, but the shuttle was very quick and easy to use. I like to have a few throws in the living room for coziness and there were none, but perhaps that is just me. Also, 2 hair dryers did not work and the last day I found a third one but it was too late at that point. Property Management was responsive to questions. All and all I was happy with the stay.

Best Host Ever

There is nothing better than a diligent owner/agency. The place we initially booked had some issues that impeded us from being able to stay there. What i loved about them was that they checked the property prior to our arrival and found us another place and had everything ready prior to our arrival!!! I love them !!!!! Nice corner condo with ski home option

We stayed in unit 1301 for the week of spring break. The pros for this unit are it’s nicely located to downtown and you can take the 4 o’clock run to gondola parking lot back home. Convenient that there is a underground tunnel from the condo over to town so you don’t have to cross the busy street. The front desk was always very nice and friendly. We never could figure out how to use any of the amenities at one ski hill but honestly we probably wouldn’t have ended up using them because it would have been a hike. So the cons are size, thin walls and the shuttle service. We are a family of 6 and luckily most are little. This condo is better suited for a family of four or two couples. There are two bedrooms and a pull out sofa in the living room, which made for tight quarters with 6 people. The free shuttle is not fun. But you get what you pay for. You never knew if a shuttle would be 1 minute or 20 plus minutes away and there was no correlation to timing of a peak or slow times. Plus you could be the first ones on the bus have two more pick ups and be the last off the bus. Once our shuttle driver did drops in town before taking us up to peak 8. So the shuttle was a big negative for us. The walls are pretty thin too. We could hear one of our neighbors very clearly which at 1:30 am was not great. But the front desk was very professional and polite about taking care of it. All in all is was a fine location for a ski holiday. Next time we would just look for a bigger unit.

Everything we needed. Excellent location. Well equipped kitchen. Great management co. Ski-in from lower 4’oclock to back of property. Lobby has storage lockers. 5-min walk to Gondola. Hot tub was excellent too!
