Isola - Alp Isola is situated between Maloja and Sils, a small hamlet where the animals from the Bergell graze in summer. The beautiful, elegant and new holiday home is in a very quiet and idyllic location in the village of Isola. Enjoy your time here as a couple with wonderful hikes over all the mountains, up to Piz Lunghin, where the watershed lies, or towards Cavloccio in the Forno Valley. Swim a lap in Lake Sils every morning or simply enjoy the view towards Bergell. On the Engadin Tourism website you will find many more ideas for days when the sun is not the only thing shining.

New from summer 2025 and only in summer:
You will also receive the "mountain railway all-inclusive" ticket directly from the landlady by email on arrival. It includes the journey with the BB to all Engadine mountains such as Corviglia, Corvatsch, Furtschellas, Muottas Muragl and Diavolezza with dog or by bike (children under 6 years travel free of charge).

Summer:
You can obtain a permit for the Maloja - Isola access road from the landlady as well as a free car park next to Casa Bellavista Isola.

Summer:
Every person staying with us (children under 6 years travel free of charge) receives a voucher for public transport in the Engadin. Valid from Maloja to S-Cinous-chel and Bever/Spinas to Alp Grüm with the Postbus, Engadin Bus and the RHB and additionally to Bergell to Soglio and Chiavenna.
Your dog is subject to a charge on public transport (summer and winter).

Winter:
You will receive the voucher for public transport directly from the landlady by e-mail. Valid from Maloja to S-Cinous-chel and Bever/Spinas to Alp Grüm with the Postbus, Engadin Bus and the RHB. Valid from Maloja to S-Cinous-chel and Bever/Spinas to Alp Grüm by PostBus, Engadin Bus and RHB.

Important in winter: There is no car park in Isola!
If it starts to snow, the Maloja-Isola road is prepared as a winter hiking trail and cross-country ski run and you cannot drive to Isola by car. Applies throughout the winter from 1 December to approx. 20 May. In May and November, the Maloja-Isola road may be closed. Reason: rain, ice, snow, avalanches or municipal works.

Nevertheless, you can enjoy a holiday in Isola during these months - the quieter it is then in the Casa Bellavista Isola. The car must be parked in Maloja, Capolago on Lake Sils or at Plaun da Lej (free of charge) or in the Sils multi-storey car park (subject to a charge). I recommend that you pack your rucksack and hike to Isola. A Davos sledge can be provided. Travelling by public transport and walking from Maloja Post to Isola on the winter hiking trail or from Sils to Isola on the lake winter hiking trail (if frozen) takes a good 45 minutes.

Flat description:
The entrance to the holiday flat is on the ground floor, where you can store your cross-country skis in winter and hang up your winter clothes in the large wooden cupboard. A double bed is available here. For two people, however, only the double bed on the gallery is available. The double bed in the entrance area is also available for 4 people. The staircase leads you to the living area and the kitchen, the heart of the holiday flat. You can enjoy the wonderful view of Lake Sils and Maloja. The evening sun accompanies you through the night - you can marvel at the sunsets from the couch and the dining table. The large window is a dream. No one will disturb you as you enjoy the view from the window! In the living room there is a sofa, a round table and a huge window. The patio door takes you to the small veranda in front of the house. There is also a small toilet with washbasin on this floor. The staircase behind the kitchen leads up to the gallery, where the large double bed stands under the sloping roof. On the gallery there is a second wet area with a toilet and an exclusive shower. The holiday flat is suitable for 2, on request max. 4 persons.

Other sports and leisure activities: As soon as it snows and the snow remains, the road to Isola becomes impassable by car and a winter hiking trail and a cross-country ski trail are prepared. From Maloja you can then reach Isola in winter boots or on cross-country skis. The beautiful "flower meadow" is then groomed into a circular trail. In the middle/end of January, when Lake Sils freezes over, you can walk across the frozen Lake Sils from Plaun da Lej and from Sils.

On 580 kilometres of hiking trails across all mountains or by mountain bike on 400 kilometres of enjoyable trails: the Upper Engadine offers a first-class network of hiking trails and mountain bike trails in the midst of the pristine mountain world and the inspiring Upper Engadine lake district. The three flow trails on the Corviglia provide the right flow. The lakes of the Upper Engadin are also popular with sports enthusiasts. Kitesurfing, sailing, windsurfing, stand-up paddling: the possibilities are almost endless. The expanse of the inspiring high valley can be experienced in a particularly impressive way on the two 18-hole golf courses in Samedan and Zuoz. And in addition to the wide range of sporting activities on offer, there are also first-class cultural attractions such as a visit to the museum or the numerous art galleries in the various villages.
In winter, 350 kilometres of the finest pistes in the Corviglia, Corvatsch and Diavolezza ski areas and the family-friendly Zuoz invite you to enjoy true skiing and snowboarding fun. Cross-country skiers will find over 220 kilometres of groomed trails in the Upper Engadine and the side valleys. The winter hiking trails and cross-country ski trails on the frozen Upper Engadin lakes shine with light, sunshine and vastness in the midst of an inspiring mountain world. Those who want to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the snow-covered forests can hike along the 150 km of winter hiking trails in the side valleys of Val Roseg, Val Fex or Val Bever, while those who prefer an overview can enjoy breathtaking views on the panoramic hiking trails high above the lakes on Muottas Muragl.

Families can enjoy the Engadin sunshine on a carriage ride into Val Roseg or Val Fex, or toboggan down into the valley on the 4.2 km long, winding Muottas Muragl toboggan run.

On the border with Italian-speaking Switzerland, the uncomplicated atmosphere, the spirit of famous painters and the nature and culture of a mountain pass landscape are much appreciated. Giovanni Segantini chose Maloja as his last home and subject for many nature paintings. The small pass village on the border with the unspoilt Bergell is popular with hikers, art lovers and families. In winter, Maloja is the starting point of the Engadin Ski Marathon, a mecca for cross-country skiers, and offers paradisiacal winter sports conditions on the cross-country ski trails, pony lift and snow tubing facility.
