Pig Sty Cottage is the perfect place from which to discover the delights of Dorset and enjoy a break from reality.. All on the Ground Floor:

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Patio.. Standing in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the lovely Dorset Hills rising steeply around, this unique collection of properties is set within the grounds of the owner’s working farm on the edge of the picturesque and tranquil village of West Milton. Individually designed and furnished for comfort, each cottage offers delightful surroundings in which to enjoy a relaxing holiday. Walkers can enjoy discovering a very varied landscape, from high chalk hills, through the winding lanes of sleepy valleys to the dramatic cliffs of Golden Cap (National Trust). The nearest beach is at West Bay, just 4 miles away, where rowing boats can be hired and fishing trips arranged. Along the coast is Lyme Regis, whose sheltered harbour famously featured as a setting for the film ’The French Lieutenant’s Woman’. The historic market town of Dorchester is 15 miles. Weymouth, 14 miles, offers everything from water sports to night clubs. Shops, pubs and restaurants within 3 miles.. Both properties: Panel heaters, electricity and bed linen included. Travel cot and highchair. Laundry room with coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer (Shared). Garden furniture. Barbecue. Parking. No smoking.

We knew it was isolated and particularly chose this because of Covid precautions. She provided hand gel. It was very easy to keep clean. Owner was very friendly when she visited and emptied bins. The description of this property warns that there are many steps Which may put some people off well I wonder if anyone from ‘HomeAway’ actually visited the property before listing it as there is not a step in sight. We also want to know how the property owner had never heard of ‘HomeAway ‘ & lists her property through ‘ Cotages.com’ & we want to know why we have paid 2 booking charges & will be taking this matter up with both companies in due course.

Such a simple and uncluttered - therefore incredibly pleasant - place to stay, perfect for one or two people. It's very quiet, extremely clean, well equipped and with plenty of very hot water. The village setting is delightful, and it's plum in the middle of beautiful Dorset countryside, just a short ride to the beaches. Highly recommended.
