Council regulation limit the number of pets to two (unless they are teensy – ring to enquire).
Please note - pets cannot be left alone for long periods - maximum 3 hours. If you plan on going out for longer they must go with you. We do have a doggysitter who come to the house - you pay directly.
We are the winners for 12 years in a row of the Award for Best Pet Friendly Holiday Accommodation in Australia (not just Victoria although we won that too).


RATES:

There are 2 ways to take Tessies - as a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom option sleeping up to 6 guests or as a 4 bedroom/3 bathroom option (utilising Tessies Studio) sleeping up to 8 guests

For the 3 bedroom Tessies House option the rates are all inclusive for 6 guests

For more than 6 guests Tessies Studio will also need to be booked. This is listed separately on this site and on our own site. Tessies Studio rates start at about $225 per night

Pets $75 per pet per stay (not per night) - maximum 2 pets if large

Please Note - all bookings through this site incur an additional Stayz booking fee of $30 per night plus any other Stayz charges

Minimum stay:
Minimum stays are usually 2 nights for midweek and 3 nights for weekends with exceptions for some peak times e.g.
School Holidays/April/Melbourne Cup/Easter, etc may have longer minimum stays
Christmas fortnight is by negotiation depending on what’s left – could be 3 nights, could be 7 nights – ring Holidaybright Official Site to enquire


CANCELLATIONS:
Covid
If a booking is made for a period affected by travel restrictions due to Covid19 a credit note to the value of the amount received by us from Stayz will be given to go towards a future holiday. This credit will not have an expiry date.

Otherwise, for all other bookings, this site has a No Refund policy. We recommend Travel Insurance if you are in doubt - there are many online companies.

A beautiful house with all the essentials to make the stay comfortable and very pleasant including a kitchen with lots of utensils and pans for self catering, dishwashing powder in the laundry and welcome treats for us. The house is super clean and well presented. Catherine was excellent with her communication and recommendations of places to eat. A superb location close to parks and a track along the Ovens River into the main street. Quiet and beautiful. Highly recommend for a family group.

A great dog-friendly location

From the time of making our reservation, the process has been smooth, including a phone call from Catherine, the owner within a day of the reservation being confirmed and, follow-up emails with helpful details (even bringing along slippers!). The well-kept house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, a few meters from the dog-park and, a 15-min stroll along the river to the town, or 10 minutes' walk along the road. A really lovely surprise was the house being heated for our arrival, along with the complementary treats and tote bag! The appliances are of reputable makes and worked very well and, what comfy beds!

Family holiday

Tessies house and studio were perfect for us and our adult children. Perfect living/lounge/kitchen area with lots of cookware for preparing large meals. Crisp sheets and quality linen. Great location - 10 minute stroll to the Bright Brewery. Plenty of room for parking multiple cars. Highly recommended!

Lovely setting, quiet but only a short walk from town

The property was well set up for a group and dogs with bowls and doggy bags supplied! Was great to have aircon and ceiling fans in each room as it was an unusual heatwave week during our stay in bright! Close to dog park and some beautiful trails. Overall a well appointed and comfortable property - we will be back!

Had a great stay at Tessie House. A beautiful and comfortable home in a great location near the river and town - gots lots of walking in. That we could be bring our dog made it perfect. He made friends with the doggos next door 😊. Catherine is a wonderful host! Look forward to visiting again.
