Elstar is a newly renovated stable, set within the grounds of our Grade 2 listed farmhouse. It is situated on a quiet, secluded yard away from the main house with off street gated parking. Elstar overlooks our fields where our Llamas, Alpacas and horses live. Located just outside the picturesque market town of Chipping Sodbury, we are also perfectly positioned for Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Cirencester, beautiful walks in the Cotswolds and the world famous Badminton and Gatcombe Horse Trials.
Elstar can be booked with Russet next door, it is a unique home offering a compact but beautifully designed open plan living space with a separate bathroom. Outdoor seating provides views over the field and orchard, covered storage is available for bikes and fishing gear. Marcus and Jo live in the main farmhouse with their 2 children, dogs, cats and chickens. Working from home they are available at most times during the day to help with any questions to make your stay an enjoyable one.
Not too far off the beaten path but narrow access. Appliances confusing. Bed not comfortable. Shower very small. TV not great but at least had Netflix.
All the facilities you could want in a small space
Quite a remote location. Friendly owner - check-in information from Vrbo non-existent apart from the address, (I tried to get my info from the website - perhaps I should have downloaded the APP) but fortunately the owner was there to show us the ropes. This was a great spot for launching yourself onto Bristol and the surrounds, and the countryside is lovely. The design of the property was impressive in that everything (just about) that you might need was provided but fitted into a small space, so it is hard to criticise but I felt like Alice in Wonderland having drunk the potion that made me big. My partner was on the other hand quite happy despite not being able to spread out so much. Nice, fairly quiet, single track roads to cycle from and to the property if you like that sort of thing (I do!). Quite a peaceful location and if the weather is good then an outside area with tables and chairs was provided so that you could enjoy looking across the fields at the animals (Lamas, sheep and horses).
Small studio, but didn't feel cramped, very complete in appliances, plenty of storage. Only shower cabin was too small to move around in.
No other guests and owners on holiday, so very quiet, especially in the evenings.
