Apple Barn Cottage is a beautiful, two-bedroom property which has been completely renovated, and is contemporary in design and tastefully furnished throughout. The property is tucked away off the quaint and historic Knick Knack Lane in Brixham, set within walking distance of the town centre and the harbour. The perfect retreat for couples or a family of four.

The property is set over two levels, with the galley kitchen, cloakroom, living room and one of the bedrooms on the ground floor; This bedroom has a set of twin beds. The second bedroom, which has a kingsize bed, is on the first floor next to the main bathroom. The south-facing living room opens out onto a private, enclosed patio and turfed seating area with table and chairs.

Brixham is a lovely seaside town and is still one of the busiest working fishing harbours in the area. The harbour is full of little fishing boats and trawlers, and some of the best fish and chips can be enjoyed here. The town offers all the usual tourist shops along with many restaurants and coffee shops, and has a regular bus service which will be able to take you into Goodrington, Paignton and Torquay without having to use your car.

There is so much here for all the family to enjoy, including the water park at Goodrington and Paignton Zoo. There are also many other quieter days out such as Greenway Mansion, the home of Agatha Christie, or taking the steam train up to Buckfastleigh. There is a car and passenger ferry from Kingswear to Dartmouth, 1 mile away. Sailing, golf, fishing, horse riding and more can all be found in this wonderful part of Devon.

The cottage is well equipped, modern and spotlessly clean.

The cottage is well equipped, modern and spotlessly clean. The owners have obviously taken a lot of thought and care in making a holiday home for their guests, it felt like home from home. The photos really don’t do it justice. Nice view from window across hill towards Berry Head. Good location, short walk from harbour and Berry Head. Good to have a parking space and a garden and patio for our dog. Communication with owners was good and they contacted to check all was ok on our arrival day, a nice touch as there was Storm Darragh. Would recommend and book again.

We had a lovely stay at Apple Barn Cottage. It was clean and comfortable and the little added touches such as the fresh scones with jam and clotted cream was A real treat! The owners sent an information pack a few days before we arrived and left us a note about the cottage when we got there which was really helpful. We met the owners on the last day who were friendly and wanted to make sure we had a great stay there. We will definitely return when the weather is warmer. Beautifully presented cottage. Very modern. Well equipped with lots of extras. Just arrived back from a very relaxing family holiday. Property was situated in a quaint and peaceful lane with just a 15 minute walk to harbour. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt very comfortable there. Great communication with owners and were available to speak to if any problems during stay. Lovely surprise when we arrived. Cream tea for the family & treats for our dog.
