Stunning View but
The Issues:1. The Deck : despite outdoor space being the highlight of the listing the furniture was old and weathered and the deck had several rotting spots that were simply covered up by old worn out rugs and outdoor fabric. These spot are sadly tripping hazards and really took away from the outdoor space. 2/102. Functionality and Cleanliness of Accessories- several items like fridge, house fans, furniture, and grill were left dirty, dingy and worn out. The grill in particular was filthy, filled with accumulated food debris, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, and didn’t have a starter. The oven and toaster were also old and resulted in multiple burned meals. 3. House Exterior- while viewing the magnificent view and deer cross your yard, you will also get views of old hot tub covers, an additional broken hot tub, old camper and truck, leaves, yard debris and rotting trees. Enjoy.4. General Aesthetic - inside decor needs major revamp. Decor is dated and excessive, from old furniture, carpet in the bathroom, to outdated and excessive wall art.Overall this place has a great view with major potential, but sadly just needs a remodel and a deep clean. Worth the stay questionable, but convenience and view made issues acceptable for short term.

There are many issues with this home. Rotting deck, no starter propane, utensil drawers have old crumbs in them, pots and pans covered in dust. On the plus side, the hot tub worked and it is an amazing view.

Location is unbeatable. Loved the property. Property looked very close to the pictures listed. Only wish is some of appliances were quite old and could use upgrading. For ex the toaster and the toaster oven looked very very old.. so did not use.

The view was priceless! We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the beds. It didn’t look like the sheets and pillowcases were washed. There was hair and food on them. The rest of the house was clean and spacious.

Great mountain views of the collegiate peaks from your backyard. Easy to commute to Aspen and Crested Butte.The couch upholstery and carpets had lots of stains, so we didn't feel like it was clean. But bathroom and kitchen were kept tidy. City market is also really close by for your groceries.

Property was ok, seems like the hosts didn't put much effort into it. There was underwear left in the drawers from the prior guest, mostly used soap bars, dirty sponge in the kitchen, yard was very unkept, missing and disconnected smoke detectors, dirty carpet, those sort of things. No one drastic thing, just lots of little things that could have been taken care of with a bit more effort on the part of the host.

Beautiful Views

Stayed for a relaxing bachelorette weekend. Weather didn't go as planned but we had a great time anyway. The house was clean and comfortable. The owner was very communicative and accommodating. Upon arriving, maintenance stopped by to make sure we were set and answer any questions. It is within a couple minutes of town and hot springs. The views were beautiful, even had about a dozen deer come up to the house. Definitely recommend.

Family snowboarding trip

The location was roughly 40 minutes from the ski area but allowed us to sleep in and still get to the slopes at a decent time. The house was very clean, easy to find, near a store and gas station and had the most beaitiful view. It was really perfect. There was enough room for all the kids (3 fourtee. Year old boys, a 4 year old and 5 month old) to sleep and play without being on top of each other and the hot tub made coming off the mountain enjoyable. While we didnt need it we did tale note that the site did have arm rails along the shower etc and was pretty handicap accessable. Every morning there was wildlife in the back. And the owner was very responsive.

I Rented This Place Solely for the Hot Tub, Which Was Unusable

The house itself is ok but understand it is in an actual neighborhood, not just "with neighbors close by" as the description leads me personally to believe. It is extremely outdated and we really struggled with the old thermostat, after literally an hour I was able to get it to kick the furnace on but I wasn't able to turn it back down when we were trying to leave. The refrigerator literally smelled like something died in it but was clean to my sight. The only reason that I rented this place was for the hot tub with that view. The day we arrived I sent a message to confirm that we could use it and the owner stated that "the last guests had a hard time and she probably should have let me know sooner that it wasn't working." I went out to investigate and was able to get the water to start heating up but the hot tub was so dirty the water was brown and had a film on top of it along with TONS of debris and the smell was pretty bad here too. We went in December so we didn't really spend a ton of time in the yard without the hot tub. Upon notifying the homeowner (that I paid EXTRA hazard and incidental insurance), all she really had to say was that she was sorry and had been sick. There was no offer of a refund for even my cleanings fees or anything. I have stayed at several personally owned vacation rentals and this was my first experience of a property being this far off from advertised. I have definitely learned my lesson to start calling people and asking if hot tubs work, or about amenities, etc. I am very upset about my stay at this place because the owner did NOTHING to try to make it right with me.

4 of us stayed 3 nights and got to the top of Huron, LA Plata, and Antero. Nice place to relax with the hotub....with an awesome view too!

BV home

Very nice 3bedroom home in a great and scenic location in BV. Terrific Mountain Views, deer sightings, clean house with all amenities including a hot tub. Also close to every thing in town. And close to all the hiking you dream of! You’ll love this place!
