Everything was just as the listing stated. There were lots of things for each age to entertain everyone. The spaciousness of the main floor allowed our entire extended family to be together without being on top of each other. Also, every room having its own bathroom was a big win.

This house had everything our family needed including a very spacious family room and dining area. Plenty of chairs and large dining table so we could all sit together. The game room was especially fun for the grandchildren. The beach area was very nice and not as rocky as we were expecting. The host was attentive and answered questions quickly too! Wonderful stay!

We spent the weekend with our entire family of all ages and everything was perfect! The property was clean and stocked with plenty of supplies. We loved that there was space and televisions for everyone to spread out how they wanted to. Would definitely recommend!

We loved our stay. The house was clean and roomy! The views of the lake were really nice. We spent a lot of time in the game room area. There was plenty of space for our family of 13 to relax. We never felt cramped. There is a TV in every room and the kitchen is well equipped. Our only wish would have been more towels. We hope to stay again in the future!

Labor Day Weekend Stay

We loved the size of the house. It was perfect for our extended family vacation. The access to the water was fantastic. The hosts were easy to communicate with, but we didn't realize at first that there was a different registration site to communicate with the manager other than vrbo at first until I noticed it in email. So be aware that they do not respond from your vrbo comments, but that was not an issue after we were aware of the other service registration. There were so many positives to the place. The teens loved the game room area. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking needs. The deck was relaxing to sit on and watch the boats go by! We would definitely stay here again if we were going to Lake Barkley.

Better than 5 Star!!

House and amenities were amazing! As we were all seniors, the beautiful view, king size beds in all 4 bedrooms with each one having a full bath was more than we could ask. Everything was high quality with everthing and anything you would need for comfort. The house was beyond perfect for our group and the best part was the owners were so accommodating and helpful. They were so fun and kind that we thought about having them join us during our stay. You won’t be sorry if you book this perfect home and location. It was just the best!

Family Vacation at Lakefront Kentucky Home

First time we had a family vacation on a lake and the location, lay-out, access to the water were great. The staircase went all the way to the water which was great for our grandchildren( ages 4-11). We were happy to know of the water shoes reccomendation. Kitchen was fully stocked and had every thing we needed. The laundry room was conviently located off the kitch which was large enough to store empty coolers and other items. The 2nd refridgerator was well used. Each king size bedroom includes a private bathroom. The grandchildren enjoyed the Loft bedroom with TV. The game room just off the kitchen provide many opprotunities for enjoyment when we needed to get out of the sun for a while. We would rate this 10+

Negatives far outweighed positives during our stay. Initial communication & check-in process were fine. The house was a good size for our group of 4 adults & 4 kids. We enjoyed the kayaks and playing in the water. The listing's claim that the "homeowner lives on-site, in a completely separate unit" is misleading. The "separate unit" is actually a room inside the house accessible by a door labeled "Owner's Suite" off the playroom. We did not anticipate the owner would be sitting out back, watching us by the water which made us uncomfortable. A lock on the thermostat prevents adjustments below 71 degrees, which made sleeping in upstairs bedrooms unpleasant. The kids room with the bunks had no vents, becoming incredibly warm & humid. There were fans but they only helped so much. On the second day, a severe storm caused a power outage at 9am. The owners did check on us & after explaining how we're waiting for the power to come back so we can prepare food, they did offer the side burner on their grill. None of us were interested in being outside in the rain to use a side burner to cook food for 8 people, but I guess it was a nice gesture. After waiting 4hrs without power and seeing no resolution in sight, we decided to leave before the next storm hit. When we requested a partial refund, the owners falsely claimed to their management company that we left after the power was restored. Despite providing texts proving this was a lie, they still refused. Not worth the money.

Right on the water!

This home has a beautiful location right on the water in a quiet area. We have a multi generation spring break and everyone was able to find things to enjoy! Barge watching from the deck, fishing off the bank, going to the nature station and hiking were all big hits. The property owners have built a beautiful staircase off the deck that takes you right down to the beach. It does require 3 sets of stairs, however my 87 year old grandparents were able to use the stairs with the handrails. Overall a wonderful space for all of us to spend time together!

Great place to get away!!

This was a great place for my four siblings with our spouses to meet for our annual family reunion. There was plenty of space for everyone! They provide more towels, toilet paper, games and water “toys” than we’ve ever experienced since we started our reunions five years ago. We totally enjoyed ourselves!! The two things that people do need to be aware of is the need for water shoes!! I’m so thankful another review mentioned this cuz the rocks are definitely not friendly to bare feet!! Also, the pictures shown on the website are a little misleading. It appears from the angle the picture was taken, that one steps off the deck directly onto a sandy beach. That is not the case. There is a rather step embankment to go down which has a break front of medium size rocks. For a person who has challenges walking or is elderly, it means the beach is inaccessible. The owner did offer the use of her four wheeler, which was very kind of her; however. I do feel others need to be aware of this discrepancy from the pictures. Having said that, we totally loved the setting and our time there!! It has much to offer!! Thank you for sharing your home with us!!

Beautiful Lakehouse Views with Lots of Space

This house was excellent for our multi-family getaway! Not only did they have infant conveniences on property but the game room for the older kids, and adults at night, was perfect!! Each room has their own bathroom and king bed! The hosts were so accommodating and helpful, especially when we got ourselves in a pinch with some items we forgot at home!! I highly recommend this spacious home with excellent lake views and close proximity to the marina, which made it very easy to rent the boat all days. The home doesn’t have a dock but it’s very easy just to pull right up and load/unload the boat!

Just amazing! Private and peaceful, gorgeous views of lake and sunsets right from house or balcony. Thoroughly enjoyed the 4 kayaks and game room. It has everything you need!!
