There were people coming and going from off the street steal from the hotel and the staff didn't care what was going on. The bed were hard for sleeping on. The place was old and run down.
There is little positive to say....its old tired and dirty. The photos on the website must be 50 years old...air con doesnt work...wifi doesnt work...homeless people at the pool..cupboards and storage old damaged and broken in the room....vile thin.old pillows
The aerial in the TV was loose and would not pick channels. Not all lights worked. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. The room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels were supplied each day.
I wish I had looked at the reviews before I booked this reservation. The rooms are in worse condition than the photos suggest. If you shower with the bathroom door open, the steam will start the fire alarm. We had a great view from our room but the location of the hotel is a bit secluded but doesn't prevent you from reaching the city center.
View was the best from balcony.
Evactions some people dont read signs in room was woken up Friday night due to someone cooking in room and then twice on Saturday night due to something smoking in room.Plus people knocking on wrong doors in middle of night not very good stay.....
Really great staff and beautiful cheap place to stay. I have only stayed there twice though and both times weâve had to evacuate in the middle of the night as the fire alarms are insanely sensitive (to steam, humidity etc.)
The most recent stay, we had to evacuate twice and the fire truck came both times.
Property is clean and maintained. Fire system works well(Tested twice). For a 3 star hotel on the esplanade is very good value for money. And as I flew out the I could see the Acacia court hotel is the closest to the airport, due to the little short cut at the end of the esplanade.
