let me start by saying the staff was nice. other then that it was just ok. the picture didnt paint an accurate view of the room space. the floor/piece of rug wasnt vacuum, coffee that was in the room someone had try to use in machine and just left it. the breakfast nothing but cold cereal and half working toaster. going to the ice machine was a joke. they give you ice in a zip lock baggie. and the room locks needed to be update to the 21 century.

Dear Chuck, Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you did not find the breakfast up to your standards. During your stay we have never seen you taken breakfast so we are wondering how you could comment about the breakfast as just ''cold cereal'' Had you come to the breakfast area, you would have known that we have more than just ""cold cereal"".In fact we do have eggs, fresh fruit , juice and yogurt. For the prices we offer to our guest we are proud of the breakfast that we serve. We do have a working ice machine and for our guest's convenience we bag them and keep them in freezer. Until now no body has ever complained about it, in fact our guests always thanked us for the way how we serve the ice. Our toaster works fine but unfortunately you just did not read the instructions above the toaster. We are sorry for the things that did not go well during your stay. We hope that you would give us another try when you visit Calgary again.

Highly Recommend this Great Hotel!

Pros: bathrobes, coffee in room, cleanliness
Cons: Bathroom door could be "frosted glass" in addition to beveled glass for addtl. privacy.
Location: Super easy to access right off 1, near many restaurants, next door to a gas station and near Olympic Park.
Loved this convenient hotel in Calgary. The staff were excellent, room was very clean and had all the amenities you would need including a personal Keurig with coffee and hot cocoa, hair drier, iron and mini fridge. There were two plush white bathrobes folded on the bed that made it feel very upscale, loved that. Room was at street level, but it was surprisingly very quiet and window shade made it super dark for sleeping. Would highly recommend this well priced hotel next time you are in Calgary!

pleasantly surprised!

when we pulled into the parking lot of the motel, i almost thought we'd come to the wrong place! it's unassuming from the outside, looking like a typical roadside motel, however the pictures are true to their description and the rooms are renovated, new and very boutique chic. my only real complaint is that the coffee maker still had coffee left in it from previous guests! the shower stall doors were also kind of streaky, like they'd been cleaned but not well. a/c in the room was great, however for some reason the thermostat was at full blast (30 degrees) when we entered the room! we had to use the a/c to counteract the thermostat. if you're driving through the city, the location is great, as it is right on the transcanada highway, restaurants are at least a 5 min drive away however. it is also (as we unfortunately had to learn) conveniently close to the Foothills Medical Hospital, in case something should happen during your stay, about a 7-10 min drive a little more east on the highway. breakfast is included, but don't expect much more than some cereal and oatmeal packets, there were a few apples and oranges but hardly a real hot breakfast.
