A beautifully refurbished character 2-bedroom villa, nestled in the peaceful village of Prazeres, and with easy walking distance to nearby facilities, this Chalet Prazeres is perfectly located to enjoy beautiful mountain views and access to the many walks in the area.
This property spans two floors and features spacious and comfortable living spaces.
On the ground floor, you will find a fully equipped kitchen and a bright, open plan, living area that opens directly to the front terrace and the Master bedroom with en-suite. The terrace offers outdoor seating and a barbecue area, ideal for enjoying al fresco dining amidst the serene surroundings.
The second bedroom with en-suite is in the open-plan first floor mezzanine area accessible via a staircase.
The village of Prazeres combines the enjoyment of sunny Madeira with beautiful, lush mountains and countryside walks. Cafés, restaurants and a supermarket are all within walking distance. A short ten minute drive takes you to the characterful seaside villages of Jardim do Mar and Paul do Mar, and to the resort of Calheta.

Chalet Prazeres is perfectly nestled in the peaceful village of Prazeres.
The nearest facilities are a restaurant and a café only 50 m away from the chalet. The nearest mini market is 500m away. There are some additional country mini-markets bars and snack-bars in the surrounding countryside areas, easily accessible by car.
Prazeres offers the perfect mix of weather and countryside; many walks are available in the surrounding countryside and there is direct road access to the Paul da Serra plateau.
The resort of Calheta with its man-made beach, branded supermarket and more cafés and restaurants, is 8Km away, easily accessed via the expressway in 10 minutes driving time.
Funchal is an easy 50-minute drive via expressway and motorway, and the airport a further 10 minute drive.

Cleaning
The property is prepared for your arrival. For stays of longer than 7 nights, a change of linen and towels, and light mid-stay cleaning of bathrooms is provided on a day and time to be advised at check-in.
All linen and towels are provided.
For health reasons, linen for a baby cot is not provided and you should bring your own.
Guests need to vacate the villa during a mid-stay clean and change of linen.

Booking Notes
The advertised prices are based on a 2-person occupancy. Supplements apply when additional people occupy the chalet. Maximum occupancy is 6 people.
To secure your reservation we require a non-refundable deposit or the full amount if the reservation is made within 8 weeks prior to arrival. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival.
Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival. A contact number will be provided, and to be able to access the property, you need to phone this number as you are leaving the airport. It is your responsibility to contact and advise the number provided on the check-in details to advise any delays to the expected check-in time.
Check-in times - at the property - are between 16H00 and 19H00. For Sunday arrivals and out of hours check-in, alternative arrangements will be made, and an additional cost will apply.
Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other reservations either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and your departure for check-out.
A security deposit of 300€ is required in cash on arrival.

If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unsual locations:


Leaving the airport take the motorway (Via Rápida) West in the direction of Funchal and after this to Ribeira Brava. Travel for 34. Km.



When you reach the end of the motorway (approximately 35 minutes) keep on the right hand lane and follow the signs to Ribeira Brava – Ponta do Sol.
The slip road will lead you to a roundabout. Take the first exit to Ribeira Brava and drive towards the sea for 1,4Km. You will reach another roundabout. Take the 1st exit into the tunnel and you will now carry on for 3,9Km until you reach the roundabout of Ponta do Sol.

At the end of the tunnel you will reach another roundabout; take the 2nd exit , signposted Ponta do Sol and drive through another tunnel. At the end, carry on along the coastal road and you will enter another tunnel. At the end, carry on along the coastal road and you will enter another tunnel.

At the end of this tunnel you will come to the roundabout of Ponta do Sol; on the left you will find a petrol station and mini market. Take the 2nd exit into the next tunnel and drive for 2,8Km.
At the end of the tunnel, at the roundabout, turn sharp right into the next tunnel (signposted Calheta).
At the roundabout (1,6Km), take the first turn-off, signposted to Calheta, drive through the next tunnel for 1,8Km.

Reaching the next roundabout, take the second exit following signs to Calheta and through another tunnel until you reach the Calheta roundabout (2,5Km).
Go straight across (2nd exit) , signposted Prazeres (don’t turn left into Calheta) and enter a further tunnel, driving for 2,3Km.

When reaching the next roundabout, where you will find a BP Petrol Station, take the third turnoff indicated “Prazeres”, “Lombo da Rocha”, “Hotel”





Straight after exiting the roundabout turn right onto Caminho Lombo da Rocha and drive for approximately 500m.
Then you'll come to a T-junction, keep going straight until you come to a new T-junction where you turn right onto Travessa da Figueira, Chalet Prazeres is at no. 6 on the right.
