I stayed here last year and wanted to return due to the excellent experience I had at that time. This time was much different. I stayed for 4 nights, 2 of them had fire alarm evacuations in the middle of the night in which there are no onsite staff so an off site security company was called, by patrons as directed by afterhours instructions, to attend with the fire department. Each episode left patrons out in the snow for 30-55 minutes.
Secondly, the suite: the 2 living room chairs were quite damaged, the fireplace would not produce heat (was electric and showed the flames only), and the dryer did not work (found this the last night of the stay).
While updating is greatly needed to this suite in particular, the issue I have most is that hotel management did not attempt to compensate its patrons at any time for the 2 nights in which we were woken and sent out into the snow. I am grateful the alarms worked and the fire department was prompt, but 2 nights out of 4 did not lend to a peaceful vacation.
