Third on Coastal Livings America's 10 Happiest Seaside Towns list for 2018. Great place for families or couples. Come enjoy the public beach, fishing pier, kayak tours, biking around town, or golf either a Nicklaus or Palmer course. Do a wine tasting at Chatham Vineyards, sample local beer at the Cape Charles Brewing Company, or sample spirits at the Cape Charles Distillery. You can enjoy lots of outdoor activity or just a lazy day around town.
The town continues to grow adding new shops and restaurants. Beautiful marinas and local watermen bring in fresh seafood at the Harbor.
The beautiful Victorian home is an easy walk to the beach and just 2 blocks from the main street Mason Avenue to experience shopping and restaurants.

The home has new furnishings and artwork throughout to create a calming environment for guests. Enjoy the entire home of just under 4000 square feet. Plenty of space and privacy to create happy memories. It has a wide staircase, pocket doors, 10 foot ceilings, original light fixtures, ceiling fans, and transom windows.

Amenities include- Smart TVs to stream your favorite show, 2G & 5G Wifi, three zone air conditioning, and on demand hot water.
Expansive front porch to enjoy with friends and family. Or sit on the screened in back porch overlooking the park watching the children play or enjoying local concerts and events.

Private parking off the alley behind the home for 2 cars.

- Some homes have cameras for external monitoring only.
- HOTEL TAX COLLECTION: In the State of Virginia and in Northampton County, all hotel and vacation rental hosts are required to collect hotel tax. We collect these taxes within the booking transaction.
- Some homes offer pools/hot tubs, or access to communal pools. There is no guard around the water features when available. Use at your own risk.
- This is a No Pets property. A daily rate fee of $150.00 will apply for violations and you may be asked to vacate the premises with no refund at the discretion of the Host.

This house was perfect for our extended family vacation. There was plenty of space for three generations of family. We did most of our cooking at home and it was nice to have a screened-in porch to spread out at dinner. Backing up to the park was an ideal location. We could even hear the saturday night concert from the porch. The house is clean, comfortable, and lovely and we would absolutely stay there again.

Perfect Place

Of 7+ stays over the years, this house was probably the best overall. Such a solid and comfortable place - spacious and cool front porch, screened in back porch (take that mosquitos), cool (as in AC that does the job) third floor.

Great house

There were eleven of us-- three generations of family-- staying for the Thanksgiving holiday. We all loved the house. It's roomy and comfortable and the location next to the park and playground was a plus. We would happily stay there again.

Multi-family visit with young kids

We had a great time staying here with two other families. Two bedrooms on top floor for one family, and four bedrooms on the second floor were shared between two other families. There was a concert at the park that we were able to enjoy from the house when we opened the porch doors. The screened in porch was great for the kids to eat without worrying so much about mess. Lots of space to play on the first floor! Parents enjoyed watching sports or relaxing on the front porch during nap times. We’re pretty picky about cleaning and wish the kitchen and bathroom floors and counters had been scrubbed down better but there’s only so much you can do to keep sand outside at the beach. The wagon in the shed was clutch for toting all our stuff to the beach. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The team at Chesapeake Properties was great to work with and went the extra mile to be responsive. However, the house had a half dozen light bulbs burned out, mold around the bathroom vents that caused illness in at least two guests, and ants in two of the bedrooms including one of the beds. There were only two bath towels in the house for our 11 guests upon arrival. The house itself is nicely updated and in a wonderful location. It just needs a bit more attention from the crew maintaining it.

Historic, clean, roomy, old but renovated large house is pretty perfect!

6 kids under 12 and 6 adults fit comfortably in this house. The management company is one of the best in this area (I have stayed 4 times in Cape Charles with three different companies

this one is the most organized, thorough, efficient, responsive, communicative.). The cleaning crew does a perfect job. For our group, this is the best location. You can see the park from the back yard, and using the buddy system, we were comfortable sending the kids to the park on their own, a little ahead of when an adult could join them. They loved the independence, and we loved the security and freedom. We rented two golf carts from CC Ryder Rentals (another positive experience), and used the carts to go to the beach. It’s only a short walk or cart ride to the beach. Our vote for future trips to Cape Charles is to be close to the park, a few blocks from the beach, and two blocks from the Main Street (Mason Ave), which is where the bakery, ice cream, coffee, restaurants, candy, retail shops are. This house and management company check all the boxes!

The size and layout of the house was perfect for a large family with kids of all ages. The location is perfect as the park is right behind the house and the kids could ride their bikes, play on the playground or play tennis or pickleball almost within sight. The distance to the beach is walkable, and we rented a golf cart which was helpful for getting lots of gear to the beach. It was unfortunate that the ice maker in the frig did not work and despite multiple emails to the rental company it was never addressed, even though they said they would send someone to check on it. We ended up buying bags of ice for the freezer. The listing says they have beach towels at the house so we did not bring any - there were no beach towels at the house. After a lot of back and forth, they agreed to bring us beach towels, which they did, so that problem was solved. None of the instructions told us you have to come and go from the back door - you have to lock the front doors from the inside - it was confusing when we arrived as we thought we had the wrong keys. There also remains confusion over alley parking between the welcome email, the on line listing and the check in paper, (0-2 cars). The little house on the property that sits behind the big house is quite close and had 2 bright spot lights on every evening and overnight that shone directly into the back of the big. house. It felt especially invasive while on the screened in porch where we worked on a puzzle each evening.

Great house, but don't expect answers from mgmt

Reviewer Comments: The house Classically Current is definitely in a great location near the park in Cape Charles, and also only a few minutes walk from the beach. The house easily fit our group of 8 people, just don't expect more than 1 person to shower at a time with the water pressure. Overall most of the house has been renovated, while keeping the old kitchen floors. Th one major issue is the mgmt company will not respond to questions via email or VRBO/AirBnB. After 4 calls they also will not call you back if you have a question they cannot answer immediately. For example we tried to check out at 11am instead of 10am (I know how dare we request 1 extra hour), and the company kept saying they would call me back after checking with the cleaners. Well after 4 calls over the leading 3 weeks before our trip and no responses, they finally responded the saturday of our trip when I called again, and we left Sunday (at 9:30am). Needless to say for the price paid, I was not thrilled with the response.

Had great weather, and the activities were plentiful (i.e. the concert at the park, the Juggler at The Cape Charles Memorial Library, marine science at the Love sign, the garden activity at Our Roots Community Garden, the Lucky Duck contest, the Brown Dog, the great restaurants, Robyn’s Shore to Table, and the great addition of Mini-golf.)

My friends and I make an annual pilgrimage to Cape Charles from Raleigh and Richmond. We love the town and the house was GREAT. It was very convenient to everything, clean and had everything we needed!
