Nestled near the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and historic downtown Cape Charles, Wave Haven offers a tranquil escape for up to 10 guests. The kid-friendly 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home is a short walk to a private beach and stunning nature preserve within Bay Creek. The resort package provides access to two pools and a fitness center within a 2-minute walk. The property is also a dream for remote workers with two separate workstations and Ethernet connections for increased speed and reliability. Contact the host to add the resort package for access to 2 pools, a golf range, and a fitness center ($75/day). Many properties in the area do not offer this option.

The main level of the home contains a front room with a workstation and a comfortable pull-out (Queen) couch. The half bath can also serve guests staying on the main level. The living area has a breakfast nook that seats two, a dining table that seats six, and a counter that seats three. The living room contains a TV, gas fireplace, couch, swivel chair, and leather recliner, perfect for a nap or glass of wine. The area also contains a bar cart with wheels, which can double as a serving area. The kitchen serves as your home-away-from-home with modern appliances and all of the amenities of your kitchen. The double-stack cabinets and pantry provide ample space for your food and beverages of choice!

The upper level contains three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom contains a king-size bed, a private bathroom, a workstation ideal for remote workers, a walk-in closet, a TV, and a reading nook. The two additional bedrooms each contain a TV and a bunk bed, which sleeps three—two twins and one full. The bunk beds also contain drawers in the stairs, so storage won’t be an issue. These two bedrooms share a full bathroom with a tub. The second level also contains a full Samsung front-load washer and dryer, an iron, and an ironing board.

The property also has a screened porch and fan for outdoor eating and comfort. You can also slide into Adirondack chairs on the paver patio. You can enjoy a game of cornhole, outdoor checkers, and additional games. Wave Haven has a detached garage with two bays and two additional parking spots in front of the property. While the property doesn’t offer a golf cart (you can rent one in town), it has an outlet for charging. Additionally, Wave Haven has an outdoor shower to wash off from your amazing time at the beach.

We offer a family-friendly environment, and we are mindful of those with allergies. As such, there is no smoking, and pets are not allowed. For those with children, we provide a pack-and-play, Bumbo seater, high chair, corner protectors for the living room furniture, outlet protectors, and life vests. We provide family-friendly board games like Jenga and Monopoly. The property also has five smart TVs with Samsung TV—so no fighting over what to watch!

If I could give 10 stars I would! This house was wonderful! It was very clean and had every amenity that you could ask for. I cook a lot on vacation and try to remember to bring all of the essentials but even the little things that I forgot, they had. Not having to stock up on day one was super nice. The kids loved that there were beach items, and games, for use. Our only complaint was that we didn't book our trip for a longer stay. The resort pool and private beach were perfect and super close to the house!!! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Cape Charles.

The Perfect Stay

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this property! From the moment we arrived, everything was clean, beautifully maintained, and exactly as described (if not better). The house was spacious, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.The kitchen had all the essentials (and then some), the beds were incredibly comfortable, and we loved the outdoor space — perfect for morning coffee. The neighborhood amenities were excellent.Our host Matt was communicative, friendly, and made sure everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. We really appreciated the attention to detail and the personal touches that made it feel like a true home away from home.We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

Great week at an ideal location with great amenities.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property and Matthew was a great host who communicated very clearly throughout the whole process. The house was very clean and had tons of amenities such as beach towels, pool equipment, beach equipment and laundry pods etc. well stocked and modern. The house itself is in a great location with acess to the life center (pool) an and close to the beach. My son and I enjoyed fishing back in the ponds at base camp ( nearby nature preserve) and took the golf cart which we rented everywhere we went.including town.of Cape Charles. Overall , would definitely recommend!

Great Family Vacation

The property is very new, clean, and well stocked with basic kitchen and toiletry supplies which makes it easy on day one when checking in. It is very nicely furnished and comfortable for kids and adults. There are also a great variety of indoor games, outdoor games, and beach/pool toys. The neighborhood is great. We had a great time with two adults and kids ages 15, 11, and 4. We would definitely stay here again!

Gorgeous home! Highly recommend

This was our first time to Cape Charles and hopefully not our last. This home exceeded our expectations; it was in great condition and everything looked brand new. The decor and furnishings were both beautiful and comfortable. Everything was well thought out and the home was well stocked, including everything we needed for the beach (wagon, towels, umbrella, chairs, etc). We had a great time and the owners were very friendly, communicative, and easy to work with. Highly recommend staying in this home!
