one night stay to break up the retrurn from Somerset. The pub is lively and friendly, the food and service were both top notch and the room was almost like new in condition so was very pleasant. The only downside was noisy neighbours who kicked off at 02.00 which wasnt good for a decent sleep but thats not the fault of the hotel just inconsiderate fellow guests. Would recommend the Kings Head which is also very well located within Usk.
Room was well equipped, finished to a high standard and had a great shower. Cooked breafast was lovely. Very quiet location so we both had a great bights sleep!
a REAL surprise I had no idea how lovely and quaint Usk is and so pretty with flowers. Everyone was friendly.
The staff were so helpful and the food portions not only yummy but be warned they are huge a starter is like a main course
We WILL be back
The property has great potential, but lacks the finer details. The rooms are new and feel fresh, but some small adjustments are neededâfor example, no glasses in the bathroom, no hook for the towel anywhere. The website also needs updating. In this day and age, it's just not good enough. Contacted the property the day prior to arrival, never got a response. Breakfast was delicious! Like I said, it has great potential to be a very good place to stay.
Lovely hotel room and the bar was very cozy and welcoming. Breakfast was very nice and all staff members were very pleasant. Usk is also a very picturesque village.
We spent 4 nights at the Kings Head and it was a perfect place to stay. The newly renovated bedrooms and bathrooms were pristine and very roomy, and the breakfasts were delicious, especially the local sausages. Stepping into the bar was like going through a time portal into the 1600's: there was a cozy fire burning, low beamed ceilings, and pewter tankards hanging from hooks. The fresh local fish on the daily special's menu was superb. But best of all was the attentive, friendly service from everyone who worked there. I would go back to Usk just to stay there again.
We had a lovely one night stay at the Kings Head. As we travelled down we unfortunately had a very late check in but the team were super friendly and gave us a warm welcome on arrival. Itâs in a great location for exploring and the cooked breakfast was delicious.
We stayed at the Kings Head, Usk for one night on Valentines Day. We were checked in by Adam (I think) upon arrival and he was very welcoming. We mentioned that we hadn't booked a table for dinner but were informed it wouldn't be a problem. The room was very nice - modern and comfortable. The bathroom and shower were gorgeous.
Dinner was fantastic, the food delicious and the service very good.
Breakfast in the morning was amazing with fantastic coffee! We'll certainly be back!
