Summary:
Just a 25 minute drive from Mount Gambier along the coast line you will find Carpenter Rocks very own motel style accommodation. Located in a small fishing town Carpenter rocks is best know for it beaches, dirt bike and 4WD trails, swimming and great fishing spots.

The Space:
Our motel is brand new and offers 3 different private room types. This one "apartment number 2" offers 1 main room with queen bed and 1 single rollaway bed, a fully equip kitchenette with microwave, electric frypan, 2 burner portable stove with pots and pans, fridge and sink. No oven. A 50inch T.V, a desk and robe space. Free unlimited wifi and split system with heating and cooling.

Please note this accommodation is not serviced daily only at the end of your stay.

There is parking space on site.
The main laundry is shared between the 3 private rooms with washer dryer and sink area.

The motel is 40 metres off the beach and within walking distance to the local general store, tennis courts and the playground with BBQ area.

(This room is also wheelchair accessible! With wider doors and a wider opening shower)

Unfortunately there is very low reception for Voda Phone. All other carriers like Optus and Telstra have great reception!

Carpenter Rocks is a small coastal fishing town located 35 kilometres south-west of Mount Gambier in the south-east of South Australia. The area faces the Southern Ocean and is renowned for its rugged coastline which provides exceptional fishing and diving locations.

Fabulous accommodation

Terrific accommodation, very modern, well equipped with everything you needed, comfortable bed, great shower, work bench great for 2 laptops - just everything we needed was provided. The beach behind the unit was barely accessible and an awful rocky beach, so you had to drive to Bucks Bay or Lighthouse Bay where the beaches were lovely.

This Unit was perfect for my needs. I’d have stayed longer if more time in the schedule. The host Zoe was available and responsive to any questions I had. The unit is clean newly built to modern standards. Hot water, nice water flow, spacious, very comfortable, had everything one would need. Good place but description inadequate

The place was great however unlike it’s description it wasn’t as family friendly as described. The description said kitchen but it was a kitchenette (no oven/proper cook top) and no inside table for family dinners. However the staff did provide an air fryer and we grab the outside table to eat on inside. Beautiful location but proper description would have meant we wouldn’t have stayed here.

The location was fantastic the accommodation units was beautiful, with everything that one requires, and extremely well maintained and kept. There is a great little tavern down the road, beautiful beaches for swimming and fishing Only down fall were the unit next doors to us were extremely noisy, with a five-six people staying in a one bedroom apartment. That caused many sleepless nights.

Good location to explore the Limestone Coast

My family and I had a great time exploring the limestone coast with Carpenter Rocks as our base. the property is clean, well appointed and centrally located for all that is there to see and do on the coast - beaches for swimming, snorkeling, fishing, sinkholes and ponds and the lakes around Mount Gambier. Award winning restaurants are just half an hour away! Best of all, customer service was prompt and very friendly. I would just recommend probably a slightly bigger dining table and a water jug in the fridge for daily use. Overall, we would highly recommend the place as a base to explore the Limestone Coast!
