Guests will want to spend most of their time on the balcony or in the delightful garden which has been created with as much attention to detail as the interiors. There are sun loungers next to the private swimming pool so guests can relax in the sun after a refreshing dip. The shaded dining area on the private balcony ensures memorable meals al fresco.

Location The house is in between the two charming towns of Carpignano Salentino (4 minutes) and Martano (3 minutes) in quiet surroundings. Martano is a lovely Greco-Salentine town that has retained its medieval walls and historic buildings. It is fascinating to wander through the streets and soak up the atmosphere. You can also try the local cuisine, tasty local wines and some of the best olive oil in Italy at one of the many excellent restaurants in the town. The weekly market takes place on Tuesday morning and a great place to pick up the freshest local ingredients.
Neighbouring Carpignano Salentino is also packed with history. The Byzantine frescoes in the Cripta di Santa Cristina are to be missed. Some date back as far as 959AD. The ducale palace and the Palazzo Chironi are also worth visiting. The town has many excellent grocery stores and supermarkets. The weekly market takes place on Saturday mornings.
The historic port town of Otranto (18 minutes), with its castle, lively harbour and stunning beach makes a great day out.
Not to be missed is the city of Lecce, the âFlorence of the Southâ (25 minutes). The city is famous for its magnificent Baroque architecture and Roman treasures.
The closest airport is at Brindisi - just an hour away by car.
