Welcome to Seahorse Retreat, an exclusive coastal hideaway made up of two mirrored, oceanfront residences joined as one luxury duplex. Just steps from the sand, this premier Carpinteria property offers the ultimate setting for group getaways, multi-generational family vacations, or reunions—comfortably hosting up to 12 guests.

The two residences are connected by a shared laundry room and a massive oceanfront deck. Inside each home, light-filled living spaces showcase expansive windows with panoramic ocean views, complemented by dining areas that seat six. Each main floor features two inviting twin bedrooms, while the entire upper level is dedicated to a private primary suite with its own ocean-view balcony. Renting both units together gives your group double the space, privacy, and luxury for an unforgettable beach escape.

PLEASE NOTE: During the Winter months, approximately November - March, the City of Carpinteria may erect a sand wall to protect all of the beachfront properties in Carpinteria from winter swells and storms. While it attempts to protect the properties, it does have the potential to block the view of the ocean from the lower levels of the home.

We had an enjoyable Thanksgiving break at the house. The set up was great for two families to be able to be connected through a hallway. Location is great. Right on the beach and walking distance to town and restaurants. It was clean and had a great view.

Love carpinteria

We have been staying in Carpinteria almost every summer for a week for the last 35 years. We have rented several different beach front places over the years. This place was the best one of them all. Very spacious, very clean, and was well supplied with all the necessities.

On the sand!

This property is not luxurious but very nice. Ample parking and good amenities. The furnishings are a little dated but very functional and comfortable. Best part by far is the convenience of being right on the sand at Carpenteria Beach. Location can't be beat and Carpenteria is a great community. Would recommend to anyone.

Perfect beach rental for two families!

This was a wonderful beach rental! The owners definitely care about the renters having a comfortable and easy experience. The bedding and pillows were lovely and very comfortable. There was an abundance of kitchen supplies, which made it so easy to start enjoying the trip right away. The layout is so helpful. We were two families with small kids. In this duplex, we’d set the kids up on one side for dinner and a movie, while the grownups enjoyed wine and dinner on the other side. Our kids loved the book nook that was stocked with plenty of children’s and adult books. Lots of board games available too! Waking up in the morning on the top floor is so great because you can see over the dune the the ocean. Being right on the beach was so fun. The kids enjoyed using the boogie boards (that are stored in the outdoor closet) to slide down the dune for hours and hours each day. Even the parking was perfect. I’m thrilled with this place and will absolutely be coming back if it’s available
